"Overplaying and shredding" is a major part of these type of things. Its actually the entire point and purpose to over-play and get loose at some point during a guitarist exhibition thing. Everyone expects it,..its entertaining and a treat...This was no exception,..AWESOME !!

Andy, just watched the vid and have not read any comments. You don't have to explain to ANYONE. If you are going to a JB or Josh show, you are going to see ripping and shredding. Nice vid Andy! I've been trying to nail that EJ lick (around the 20:00 mark) for a while with limited success. It seems the secret is your picking hand, not your fretting hand. You're starting each 6 note sequence with an upstroke rather than a downstroke. Does that sound right?
@andywoodmusic2 жыл бұрын
For me it’s ring able to start licks Ike that with either an up or down. That way if the number of notes change to 4 or 5 it won’t be troublesome for the picking hand
