Classic moment, Joe says he's never owned a TV Junior, looks at it knowingly and sighs. Everyone knows what that "should I or shouldn't I" sigh means ... we've all been there.

Haha I caught that too. That was definitely an "I'm about to spend money, aren't I?" sigh.

I am a big Joe B and Emerald City Guitars fan... Many years ago I was in the shop with my two boys who were about 4 and 7 at the time. They were walking (respectfully) in and among very expensive guitars on the floor, and the ECG guys didn't bat an eyelid and were totally cool with it. At that moment I promised myself when I make my first $million, I would come back to ECG and buy a vintage guitar from them.

There are nice guitars out there that you can afford. Not vintage, but nice guitars. Find a nice MIJ mid 80s Squire Stratocaster. Have it refinished with nitro or don't. If your a player there are great guitars for playing, people with money buy guitars that are vintage to collect, or are rockstars that have techs that are taking care of the guitars.

But Mr bonammassa has many children and if you're not special enough he may save his scholarship grant for the next orphanage/guitar shop... I feel I may have overstretched this metaphor
