IM 12 years in to Joe. Since the first song which was mountain time he has been my favorite. Listen to mountain time on live at the Royal Albert Hall. So you get some taste of where he's been musically listen to Live from no where in particular. His style was different than today. Either way I love his music. IMHO, I think tales of time is his best work yet. That's his latest work.

I really love Joe's blues but it does make me sad cause I wish my husband was still alive and could hear him. He'd love his music too. I wish we both had discovered him before he got sick. I hadn't heard of him till April of 2014; I just really wish he had the chance to hear him and others I discovered driving home to AZ from FL and getting stuck on the I-10 for 7 hours cause of an accident involving an 18-wheeler and a little car. I was so bored, I reprogrammed all my favorite stations on my SIRIUS FM, then I'd channel surf till I heard something good , and when I didn't know the group or singer's name, I'd write their name and the name of the song I liked and when I got home I looked them up on YOU-tube and well, here I am.

I saw him in Reno and he did a 45 minute acoustic set and then an hour and a half electric blues set. Worth every nickel!!!! It's good to see him work in different slightly different forms. Reminds me of 1972 I saw the Stones in Seattle and they were using the horns and back-up singers Nicky Hopkins keyboards etc.....I've always loved how the sound is more FULL and rich ( just a personal tic ) and Stevie Wonder opening for them was HOT too!!. Probably due to the fact that I grew up hearing a lot ofJimmy Smith hahahha .

Most guitar players can genuinely feel the blues and play it to some degree. Joe not only feels it full throttle, but he's built to express it without effort. BB King said it, I'm repeating it, and I sure believe it.
