im a metalhead. This is not my usual type of music. But my dad used to love this song and we always listened to it together. He died on leucemia 2 years ago. I really miss him and sometimes i listen to this song to remember him. Thank you, Joe.

Brother you don’t mourn alone. My mom passed December 2019 and I continue to grieve. Perhaps listening to “The Blues” doesn’t help. Joe is an awesome talent. His music is therapy for me. Most time when I listen I cry, but I’m not sad. In fact I’m grateful for my life’s experiences and those that have influenced me. Joe B is good medicine.

Hey Leonfox. Lost both my parents as well. Not that it matters. I am glad you have found some other music in your your journey. I am a metal-head as well , but found the blues in the 90`s when grunge came around. It`s healthy to explore other genres. I truly hope that your loss is weakining when years pass by. A good old fashioned hug comes your way from Norway. Stay positive brother :)

Was with my brother in Durham 2 years ago in February. This is my brother's favorite Bonamassa song. I was so glad he played this. I'm a dancer. Taught dance my whole life. Almost 50 yrs. My brother who has not one ounce of rhythm in his whole body just started moving when Joe played this. It was so amazing. It made his whole night. Life is not fair. But that old adage is fatalistic. The fact is, life is short and no one gets out alive. It’s up to us to make the most of all the time we get. So make your choices wisely. Rejoice in the fact that you found the incredible musical talent that is Joe Bonomassa. Go see him in concert. Take a friend with you, perhaps someone who has never heard of Joe. When it comes to music or the arts, there’s never just one “greatest “, it’s too subjective. It’s all about what we like, what speaks to us, what we can relate to. I’m a HUGE fan of JB. I love that I can listen to his music over and over and not tire of it. We had the pleasure of seeing him live a few years ago, took our son (25 years old at the time). He comment after was ‘He didn’t play anything I didn’t like’. That’s a great compliment.

I have known of JB for quite awhile but didn't keep up with his music. Recently reacquired an interest and this song just blows my mind. It's (I suppose) to be a heartbreaking song but to me it is exquisitely sexy. The solo at the back end is mesmerizing. Vocals are soulful and moving. Just ......WOW. I just saw him in concert in Chattanooga..this was his encore song. It was great but I wish it had been played like this version!! Thanks for the show JB!! See you next time around ♥️

2:05 The guitar scream. 4:25 The thunderous guitar intro. 6:22 The drummer legs! 6:35 The bassist. 8:00 the legendary pick up selection that made me fall in love with this guitar in the first place! The change in the tone to pure Rock awesomeness is marvelous! 8:20 the drummer legs, yet again!
