Been to Norm's several times when I was in LA on a business trip. Always hoped I would run into Joe there but it was not to be. On one trip it was my 60th birthday (70 now) and I bought a copy of one of Norm's books. Got Norm and everyone in the shop to autograph the book.

Great powerhouse jam with the trio and that bass player is smokin’ on that fender bass! Joe certainly has a huge passion for guitars and you can see that with his vast knowledge. That short jam clearly showcased for me, the great chemistry and contrast of the guitar playing between Joe and Mike especially using a telecaster and jazzmaster.

At some point all vintage guitars in the universe will start getting pulled by an invisible attractive force to Joe's collection. Anchoring chains for cases will be required to own a vintage guitar. After owning a guitar long enough you'll need a strap to play, you'll hold on tightly and play with your back to California before finally you accept fate and lose it to Joe's collection.
