It took a hundred years to make that old tree grow And there beside that tree, I learned to love you so It took a hundred years of sunshine before that old tree grew But it only took a minute baby to fall in love with you It didn't take a lifetime to make my dreams come true No it only took a minute baby to fall in love with you It took a million stars to make that starlight shine And underneath those stars one night I made you mine It took a million stars a-twinkling to light that sky of blue But it only took a minute baby to fall in love with you Didn't take a lifetime to make my dreams come true No it only took a minute baby to fall in love with you Yeah it only took a minute baby to fall in love with you

Nice music from the early sixties - Funny to see Tony Sheridan as a Band member. I like Joe Browns new CD on his Ukulele. Good atmosphere.

Cool hairdos from the early 1960's. Gotta love that hair cream. That stuff works better than pomade. Hair cream makes your hair shine more, and it holds it in place more.
@TheRowlandstone736 жыл бұрын
I found pomade held much better when I had my hair like Billy Fury back in the 90s, but it was a cow to wash out! I stuck to Brylcreem - it tended to flop a bit more, but yes, it looked slicker.

His hair looks way ahead of his time, like David Bowie or someone from the New Wave 80s.

Great track. I could imagine Eddie Cochran singing a rockier version of this song. Joe became friends with Eddie, but by the time this aired, Eddie had sadly already been dead two years.

I knew Joe at school and used to have a pint in his Mums pub the Sultan. I remember Joe shooting his air pistol at us when we walked on the Northern outlet sewers dirt road, he started out with a tea chest for a double bass in the band.

If you watch 'Joe Brown Live at Liverpool', at one point Joe says to his drummer, Phil, "I wish I had your voice". Phil (very thin on top) replies, "I wish I had your hair!". Joe says, "You can have a lend of it in the interval if you like; you can walk up and down shouting at people".

It started with the Wanstead aeromodellers club. Several of us played guitars and we would take our instruments along to model aircraft competitions. I remember once we traveled on the underground train to a competition. We stood in the area by the doors, and played our music to the surprise of passengers on the platforms as we arrived at each station. Mick Reeves

Joe's a class act. But look at Bobby Graham on the drums. This song isn't demanding, but he has total class.
