It fails to take into account attributes that actually matter (consistency, versatility, achievements, comparison to competitors, skill level) when you are measuring talent, which is a quality, not a quantity. So essentially, you can be relatively mediocre/average at your craft, have nothing to show for it, and cannot be consistent at it, but as long as you can perform well in 2 areas, you are automatically more talented than the worlds greatest at 1. That wouldn’t sound right to anybody. Deep thinking only seems threatening when you can’t convince yourself that your own ‘logic’ makes sense.
