I hate how they try to diminish our legends. Notice nobody compares Elvis to anyone . He remains a legend in his own right. Its very interesting every year they try to compare the incomparable MJ and they fail each year. They tried to say Harry Styles was the new king of pop for gods sake. So disrespectful. Look up MJ accolades its really no comparison to ANYONE. Let the king of pop rest please.

@@double0double0 10 years AFTER Quincy. Look at that audience. Yes he's performing a hit. But this is albums AFTER "Bad". This is still normal for him. He'd been filling sold out stadiums worldwide for decades at this point. He "featured" on Barry Gordy's son's song "Somebody's Watching Me" providing that one hit wonder with his one hit (reached #2 on the Billboard 100). Sidenote: I was not a fan after Thriller. I preferred Prince. But I have had enough time to fully appreciate the phenomenon Michael was. He stayed the #1 on Billboard from 12/83 to 4/83 with no interruption. He had the biggest selling album of all time (now #2) until this year. Thats a 40 year one. NOT streams. ALBUMS. CD's. TAPES. Drake ain't close. Beyonce is about the only big name that had to start by moving physical units. Drakes sales record will always have an asterisk next to it. Not his fault that the industry changed. But let's not pretend it didn't . Drake doesn't sell albums. He sells singles. Had single been available, MJ would have sold more.

Shout-out Drake, he doing his thing, he been doing his thing, he's got the hot hand, he's had the hot hand for a minute now. But MJ music IMO has a different kind of longevity. We're talking decades of longevity. Idk if Drake gon have that type of longevity when he's done w/ music.

You know you can as well stream MJ music right? So why are yall hating on Drake? He sold physical copies as a rookie in the game. I don't see many people tying MJ on the charts. It's a ridiculous achievement and needs to be celebrated.

I'm 58. I've known who Drake was for many years because he's always in the news but oddly, if you were to press and ask me "Name a Drake song" or play one and say "Who makes this and what's it called?" I'd be completely stumped. 10 yrs ago I started to get FOMO as an older guy; now I'm glad I missed out on all of the bad R&B these days and went back to Wynton Marsalis, Count Basic, Coltrane, Dizzy and the Duke. No more modern R&B for me. Good luck, Tribe. Signing out.

Drake and MJ both have 13 number 1s. However Drake has 8 songs with features (3 of which are another artists song) that went number 1. MJ has 2 songs with features that went number 1. From 2018 to 2021 Drake had five number one songs without features. Since the latter part of 2021, all of his number one songs since have all come from collabs with other artists. His prior collab number one song was back in 2016 with "One Dance" which was his first number 1 song where he wasn't the featured artist - which did 10 weeks (first 2 number ones were back in 2010 then again in 2016, both of which were Rihanna songs featuring Drake) In 2018, the Scorpion album with God's Plan, Nice For What and In My Feelings (of all which went number 1), the Pusha T beef, Adonis being born in 2018, and going Tik Tok viral with Keke do you love me were prime drivers for his solo streaming success In the last 2-3 years, Drake's five most recent number 1s have all come from features (SZA, J Cole, Future Young Thug, 21 Savage and Tems.). One could assume that the wave from 2016/2018 died down considerably (especially after CLB and Honestly Nevermind) and the collab features business started back up again, first time in 7 years. 8 out of Drake's 13 number one songs (61.5%) are features, comparable to 2 out of MJ's 13 number one songs (15.4%) which are features (with Mike's last number 1 feature being in the 80's). Pound for pound, MJ's number ones are less diluted comparable to Drake.
