@J972M 🧢 there's so much he could've did to win this battle (or atleast make it closer), he just didn't do it. His first mistake was acting like a back to back record directed at 4+ people would be the red button for kendrick. His second mistake was putting serious allegations of someone's character into 3-4 bars rather than going in depth into them and making them believable (whether true or not). His third mistake is listening to the internet and not doing things on his time. When the internet pressured kendrick to drop, he took his time & did his homework. When Drake was pressured, he fired knowing he wanted to go on vacation and wasnt prepared to battle. He banked on the 20v1 narrative where he'd be the underdog
@J972M7 ай бұрын
@@ayejak5893 Nahh. I'm telling you, bro, this battle was bigger than just Drake v Dot. It was a battle between the purity of hip-hop (taking time to produce quality, having a message, being about real ish, pushing the culture forward, growth, etc) vs. the new ish (drill beats, catchy choruses, ai, machines manipulating sales, "fast food music," etc. Also, Drake is incredibly polarizing. Some dislike him because of something specific, but most of those who dislike him really just dislike what he represents. When I said there was nothing he could've done to win, I meant nothing he said would've been able to move the crowd. It's like a rap battle where the audience is one-sided. The other dude could say all kinds of slick metaphors and triple/quadruple entendres, and it won't matter because the fans already decided the winner before the battle even started.

Yall tripping if you really think Joe hates Drake or Drake hates Joe, Drake wrote a whole novel on Instagram based on how Joe reviewed for all the Dogs, he calls out the pod on songs especially during this beef. Drake needed to be humbled a bit and I don't see how being happy someone did it makes Joe a hater, for the last 3 years all Joe has done was give advice, he was the first one to tell Drake to stop rapping about this young girls he was messing with, jumping on every new act coming up, to evolve his music and look what happened Kendrick use it all against Drake and won by a landslide.

I’m not gonna debate who won or loss this battle because it’s irrelevant to what I’m about to say but you can clearly see the way Joe is dissecting this song and how Joe is dissecting any of Kendrick songs. You can clearly see the bias and hate that he has for Drake (not surprising since he made a whole series of diss tracks at him) being shown. I get you have personal shit towards him but you gotta be objective. Even AK is more objective and shows Kendrick a whole lot of love and has even said at certain points that he felt like Kendrick was winning. Thank god for ish and ice.
@andualemgetahun94167 ай бұрын
This lil 8 min clip doesn’t do justice to how much bias, self contradiction, moving the goal post, nitpicking, interruption, constant interjection, and down right idiocy Joe had the entire episode. He went on so many times getting the facts and interpreting things wrong. He would purposefully get the bars in drakes disses wrong and use that to fuel his own narrative. Sometimes ice and ish interject and correct him a lil bit but a lot of the times he just be spazzing stating his opinion as the truth and the only one that matters. I hope y’all niggas seen it man. This whole entire beef Kendrick been awarded much more leniency and compassion in the eyes of the public which I don’t blame him for but quite clearly there’s never been a less objective rap beef ever.

I feel like that’s his own fault tho - nobody can realistically deny the man’s talent and performance presence. But he’s gotten way too comfortable playing around too much. Even Wayne told him to not be anything he isn’t. I hate Drake a lot, but as a man and a hardcore music fan, I can 100% take a look from the outside and say that man is a force to be reckoned with. But I, and I think a lot of people, really don’t like the g talk and threats coming from him. Seems like all he does is rage bait these days.

The thing is, everything Drake does is seen as corny and everything Kendrick does is seen as genius because of the way Kendrick is branded in relation to Drake. Kendrick had no real impressive bars and come to find out that they were all plagiarized from twitter anyway. The Afrocentric crowd will never let the mixed Canadian beat the black messiah, even if it’s obvious that their messiah is just as inauthentic as Drake is but just branded in a more Afrocentric light.

"Meet the Grahams" by Kendrick Lamar is an intricately layered song that transcends the typical scope of diss tracks, embedding deep cultural critiques and moral reflections within its lyrics. This analysis aims to guide readers through the complex concepts presented in the song, which might not be immediately apparent without a deeper understanding of historical contexts, psychological insights, and the song's narrative structure. ### Historical and Cultural Context The song doesn't just address personal grievances but delves into the responsibilities that come with being a figure in the Black community, touching upon the historical struggles and the ongoing impact of these issues today. Lines like **"Life is hard, I know, the challenge is always gon' beat us home"** highlight the enduring challenges faced by the Black community, reflecting struggles that go beyond individual experiences to encompass generational traumas-echoes of slavery, systemic racism, and cultural disintegration. Kendrick's critique extends to the role of artists in society, reminiscent of the responsibilities held by griots in West African cultures-keepers of history and morality through oral tradition. He challenges artists, particularly those like Drake who wield significant influence, to use their platforms responsibly. In **"Never let a man piss on your leg, son, Either you die right there or pop that man in the head, son,"** Kendrick metaphorically speaks to the importance of standing up for oneself and maintaining dignity, a lesson that transcends personal integrity to suggest a broader cultural stance. ### Ethical Leadership and Integrity Kendrick weaves ethical questions throughout the track, questioning not just personal choices but how those choices reflect and influence broader community norms. For instance, the line **"Don’t be ashamed 'bout who you wit', that's how he treat your moms"** points to the importance of honesty and respect in personal relationships, which in turn mirrors societal calls for transparency and accountability. The song serves as a modern cultural critique, positioning Kendrick in a role similar to that of a community elder or a moral guide, emphasizing themes like transparency, integrity, and the impact of one’s actions on others-especially on younger generations. ### Psychological and Introspective Insights Kendrick's lyrics invite listeners to engage in self-reflection and moral introspection, urging a deeper examination of one's actions and their repercussions. This call for introspection is designed to provoke thoughts about personal and societal evolution towards greater justice and ethical standards. By addressing Drake's alleged actions and their implications, Kendrick opens a dialogue on the psychological impact of fame, the pressures of public life, and the often-overlooked mental health struggles of public figures. ### Call to Action Kendrick Lamar encourages all listeners to reflect on their values and the impact of their actions. It's a universal call to artists and individuals alike to nurture the next generation responsibly and to use their influence to foster a culture that values integrity over notoriety. The song is not just a narrative but a conversation starter, pushing towards societal betterment anchored in authenticity and ethical integrity. Through "Meet the Grahams," Kendrick Lamar uses the platform of hip-hop-a genre founded on storytelling and social commentary-to challenge and inspire. This song is a call for introspection and action, urging listeners to consider not just the content of the lyrics but the broader implications of their themes, making it a profound piece for anyone interested in the intersection of music, culture, and morality.
