Am I the only one who actually likes "Meet the Grahams" for what it is? A horror-movie like track that paints a picture of him talking to Drake's family including him? The beat is mesmerizing.

The daughter stuff on MTG was the least disrespectful stuff. I couldn't care less if Drake has 10 daughters. He spent three verse dissecting three generations of Drake's bloodline over an alchemist beat. It's masterpiece to me.

A fundamental fact about all this is we know absolutely nothing about Aubrey. Kendrick has had so many people vouching for him and validating his character his whole career. People are defending Aubrey playing a character we know as Drake while Kendrick has spilled his heart in every album he gave us, to the point he subconsciously feels like family so even if you like Drake more you end up relieved Kendrick won.

My ex explained this to me , Drake’s primary audience is women. So his choice of words and insults are more geared to hit with women. Your short, somebody taking your girl , those are insults that hit with women and his base. Kendrick doesn’t necessarily cater to his base because it’s a bit more mixed. Therefore his insults have to be more robust vs Aubrey, who could use more cosmetic disses. Nigga said he hate everything about you in the first song and that you should die in the next . I might not agree but those are insults aimed with a different level of aggression (even when presented artistically)

Part of your skill as an MC is your ability to manipulate the audience's perception of your opponent - even with lies. The move to drop MTG only 1/2 hour after FM dropped was also a smart move. It took all the power out of what was probably Drakes best song in this beef. Drake did the same thing to himself when he dropped Taylor Made. Push ups was dope but it lost power when Drake put out Taylor Made which he later had to delete.

I love how SOOOOOOOO many Drake defenders is like "He's lying." The information Kendrick had was creditable enough to put it out there. Drake is saying that his camp put it out there. Which is worse, meaning his camp got a mole in it along with a sex offender. But Drake does have the history of covering THIS type of stuff up. So Kendrick was a genius no matter what for bringing DOUBT up.

Ish is completely ignoring the fact Drake opened himself up to all of this, mainly because no one with his same level of popularity has ever publicly questioned the weird shit he's done over the years. What Ish is saying is true. What he doesn't realize is that his point ends up going against him especially in the case of Drake because just like we know he is not the biggest Kendrick Lamar fan, we all expect him to be more on Drake's side. So just like Kendrick being "a good guy", it's more difficult for us to believe the allegations opposed to Drake loving to be "the bad guy" and thrives by being the villain. We will most likely go with whatever image the person portrays. The biggest draw here I believe is that since Drake is known to be the bigger/better artist his crowd should have easily come to his defense a lot more aggressively than they did. If not at least make people doubt Kendrick. But the "lies" told on him swayed even his bigger following which shows how much more believable Kendrick is. The line "the audience not dumb" meant a lot more than people realize. And if we are gonna be "dumb" it's only natural to go with the most reliable source of lies. It's human nature.

This is why people don’t care about truth as much with Kendrick as they do with Drake, and I’m going to use a metaphor. Kendrick, unlike Drake, is excellent at making up a “based on a true story” story. When you watch the play “Hamilton”, you love the story, and know that it’s based on a true story, but not 100% true. It’s been dramatized for effect. You would roll your eyes at someone who said “But it’s not 100% real!!” That is what Kendrick did with Drake; he made a story of Drake that is ‘based on a true story’ where there is a lottt of truth, and probably some not true things as well. But the story is so compelling to us, and the claims are so believable, that we are willing to suspend disbelief. That’s why Kendrick won with this song and with his disses in general.

At this point drake can't try to out rap Kendrick.. or double down on domestic violence or Kendrick kid.. if he does that Kendrick will respond and bury him again bc he's just a better artist. I don't think Drake quit. I think he just retreated to fight again. Drake has to come out with something crazy.. I'm talking like, get Kendrick girl in the music video or something. Part of the song got the video of them lying to Kendrick giving him the fake info. If he does that drake would have taken the lead. Ak has eluded to drake dropping again. And so has mal. 2 ppl in contact with drake. So I'm not thinking the battle is over. If you ask me, Drake wrote the heart part 6 which is why it was mid. He needs more time for his ghost writers to write a few more songs. And then he's gonna spark it back up. Full songs dedicated to Kendrick. They cookin up right now. But like I said, he has to drop a bomb. He already dropped his nuke and it didn't work. So he has to do something beyond music. Drop a voice recording of Dave free saying he hit Kendrick girl. Oversimplification of Ish's point, while also PROVING Ish's point. The public was primed to hate Drake even before he objectively lost. The bias against Drake is real.

This is what kendrick looks like when he mentally snaps and is triggered. Kendrick just showed what it's like when he gets angry. This is the musical embodiment of when bane in the dark knight rises movie started swinging fast as hell when batman broke his mask.
