Two of them don’t even like the genre, one says it wasn’t comedic enough (when there were plenty of comedic parts throughout), and another said the plot was revealed too soon. The mass majority loved this film because it is good. Obviously something being good or bad is subjective but if you’re apart of the minority that thinks it’s bad and your reasoning isn’t even valid it does come off as hate. No one is saying people should like it just because it’s a black movie. What the original commenter said clearly went over your head.

I had the opposite reaction. From the beginning i wasnt into it, but as the movie progressed I was impressed. It started with the neighborhood homeless man at the liquor that gives real wisdom, but some people pass it off as gibberish because they are just going to pass by anyway. Then i thought The preacher who preaches a sermon to keep people so docile because "it dont matter" was deep from the perspective of how misdirected some churches are with their message. Its really a movie that you watch two or three times and see different things you didnt catch from the first time.

It's okay to not like something but at least have a logical reason. Two people in the room openly admit to not liking the genre of the film. Any kind of rating they give is irrelevant after that is revealed. Parks said it could have been funnier. While it had humorous elements, it's not a comedy so faulting it for that is nonsense. He also felt that the plot was revealed too early, which I don't believe it was, but that's still a weird criticism. He also say that the film could have leaned more into the sci-fi aspect, but how? The film was pretty deep info sci-fi if you ask me. The tweet that's mentioned in the end proves how brilliant the film is to me.

I LOVED it personally! I enjoyed every moment of it. I am actually shocked that y'all didn't like it. I've watched it at least 5 times and each time I've picked up something I overlooked the last time. I also enjoy the think pieces because hearing other peoples perspective is dope because it opens up other pieces of the story that I might have missed.
