The definition of "LUCK" is when preparation meets opportunity. Joe prepared tirelessly and so was able to meet the opportunity when presented with it and be successful.
@philipmarler57045 жыл бұрын
My own definition.
@smokedbrisket30335 жыл бұрын
@Heather - knowingly or not, he's citing often-quoted Roman senator Seneca. "Luck," as understood in common parlance, isn't what Seneca or Philip Marler are talking about. The only "luck" JB needs in the NFL is to be drafted (or ultimately traded to) one of the 10 or 12 teams committed to winning Super Bowls. The Bengals ain't one of those teams.
@smokedbrisket30335 жыл бұрын
@Heather - you took offense where none was intended, nor even implied. I made the mistake of assuming your intentions were honorable, if misplaced. I'll not make the same mistake twice.

Love this kid. He has worked his tail off...Broke his hand at OSU..may have been over Haskins at that point. He has some dimension that make him better than Haskins I do believe. If he has to run he can..and well enough to get the job done. Definitely better feet than Haskins.

Coach of Nebraska said do you think he's better than what we have ,duh this was meant to be. Plain and simple. And Alabama fans are why people don't like bama, but hey they have very little to be proud of. What happens when saban retires , he is getting tired of the fans and media accepting perfection every year. He is the goat. But time is cyclical, and doesn't stop for any man,that too will be broken. But I like saban, but we found him before y'all did. If he wouldn't have gone to Miami?,which he says he regrets. Where would y'all be????
@smokedbrisket30335 жыл бұрын
Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity. - Seneca From that perspective, JB will be "lucky" if he ends up with one of the 10 or 12 teams in the NFL actually committed to winning the SB. Cincinnati ain't one of those teams. So while he may be prepared if he ends up playing for the Bengals, the opportunity won't likely ever be there for him. Saints, Steelers, Ravens, Niners, Seahawks, Cowboys, Patriots...yeah, he'll get opportunity with any of them.
@younglife40892 жыл бұрын
Looks like Joe has the superpower to beat any odds and rebuild anything from ashes. He is definition of "self confidence"
@AS-yz2iz2 жыл бұрын
Looks like the opportunity was there for him in Cincy. The future is bright. He got more recognition by helping to turn around an awful team in record time than he would have had he gone to a team that was already decent.

Joe could be the proof of bad decision making by OSU if they meet
@JG-gg1we5 жыл бұрын
Wasn't Ohio State's decision. Joe broke his hand in spring ball and fell behind Dwayne Haskins. OSU would have loved for him to stay. But then Justin Fields would not be there, and OSU has him for another year. Worked out for LSU, OSU, and Joe Burrow.
