Joe Cocker is a brilliant, briliant singer - but, you know, this is one of the best songs to have come out of the UK in the last 50 years - and it's virtually unknknown!

I remember getting this album from my older sister on my thirteenth birthday, I'd never even heard of him before, let alone his singing, but Annie was three years older than me, and when this came out in late '68 she was turning me on to something new daily, as any good hippie sister could in those daze; first cigarette (Camel non-filters), my first concert (Janis Joplin with Big Brother @ the Bushnell in Hartford), I think it was there, it might have been in New Haven), first joint (while my parents were out for dinner and the two of us were left @ home alone, watching the Ed Sullivan Show), and too many other things to list here, but all the best of times I do recall, some better than others, and it's been over thirty-five years since I've seen or been in touch with most of my family, three thousand miles also came between us, they are back still living in New England, I followed the countless other California dreamers in the early '70s and never went back. It's these old songs that take me back to what was home soooo long ago, and I thank God (or who ever, what ever) for these old songs, from a life time ago.

I love Joe Cocker. It is sad, he passed away. May he rest in peace. I prayed and asked my Lord...What is the answer that, was on my heart. The first song was this. I know what it means...I am sorry, my friend...This song is for you...You know, who you are. :) I will be on journey that is going to be healing, but I will still check my google+ once a week. I have wonderful friends on my google+. I have a five year plan. I finally got my hubby, to see the mountain of pain that I stare at everyday because the man that tried to kill me, lives over the mountain...I am moving on...I am ecstatic my hubby finally saw the light. Twenty years is a fucking long ass time.
