Because like any organization like that, it's to a very great degree political, and, well.....not enough politicking for Mr. Cocker, particularly since his passing.

SAX. Always the Sax. In this song in particular. Best solo instument ever! (And no, I have never played a sax, but I was fortunate enough to have been in a band that had one for roughly 20 years.)

When Joe Cocker covers a song, he makes it his. Over the years, he has covered a bunch of songs by great artists such as the Box Tops (Ticket to an Airplane) the Beatles (With a Little Help From My Friends and She Came In Through the Bathroom Window) and others and made them to his own style. I do not know who has done his music arranging, but they were a genius. His covers always seemed to be better than the originals.

The early songs were arranged by Leon Russell, the famous American pianist and writer. He led the Mad Dogs & Englishman band that backed up Joe Cocker.
