I worked as a delivery boy for a Madison Ave, dress shop and walked right by there moments before it happened. I had a delivery to make to a famous person on the West Side. I didn't know anything about what was going on and I asked some Italians and they told me. As I walked past the crowd, I heard what sounded like firecrackers going off but kept on going because I thought that's what they were. I did not find out until I listened to the radio at night when I got back to the apartment I was living in. Nearly a year later I enlisted into the Marines and never heard anymore about it.

Gallo was a pawn in a larger chess game. I fully believe the fbi was involved in Colombos murder, not because he was such a civil rights threat, (that whole premise was flawed and Colombo exposed that with his own hypocrisy), but because he had the power to expose the governments involvement in organised crime, which wouldn’t have ended well. my uncle knew Joe Senior before he became a boss. Joe married my uncle's sister and on weekends they enjoyed his mansion in NY state. My uncle said he was a nice man, this is family. when Senior got shot my uncle was right next to him. Later, my family went to brooklyn for my uncle's son's wedding paid by the Colombo family. my cousin who I loved dearly had a beautiful wedding. during the reception I was watching the yankees world series with Joe junior. He was laughing at me , because I was rooting for the other team. He laughed it off because I was a brazen young girl back then. Family is family and they take care of you. Oh about Carlo Gambino; I ran into him unexpectedly in one of his hideouts. I was visiting my boyfriend who had a house on a huge farm. I came up to a mansion with a fountain and statues. So, I got out and walked around because it was beautiful. A man came out of the front door and walked over to me and asked me who I was. I told him my full name and he welcomed me to check out his place anytime. He was about my height. I'll never forget how nice he was to me. They were all nice to me and looked out for me when I came home from college. Those days have passed. I just thought I'd share a few things about the family, the good stuff for a change. peace.
