Joe Dever: The Life of a Lone Wolf!

Joe and I became friends when we first met at College and over the next 35 years we shared many varied interests. His death was sad news indeed but not unexpected given his battle with a serious health issue. Apart from being a great author he was also a gifted bass player, an expert shooter, a scuba diver, and an outstanding model painter and wargamer. He was also an expert on the American Civil War. Along with other friends we did the whole of the market garden route , as well as us both visiting the German Tank Museum. His passing must be devastating for his children Ben & Sophie and also his rock during his early writing days and mother of his children Mel. RIP Arch Lord Devious ( a cunning gamer who often kicked my butt)...I was proud to have been able to call him friend...

Found His books as a preteen or teen through random luck at the local library. Brother and I were invested and probably helped me appreciate the rpg genre, from Final Fantasy & Phantasy Star IV, D&D 3.5, PathFinder. This interview is a treat.
