I am Italian and Sicilian at that. Joe DiMaggio is all I ever heard growing up. I must add his statistics speak loudly for him. Just hitting in 56 straight games and then getting a hit in 17 straight after that. WOW. One more thing I played a ton of baseball and ALWAYS wore #5. A first class gentleman The Yankee clipper. Sorry Nolan no way.
