Flacco led Delaware to an 11-4 record and a trip to the 2007 FCS National Championship. Before their defeat at the hands of Appalachian State, the Blue Hens knocked off No. 1 and undefeated Northern Iowa and No. 4 Southern Illinois, both on the road. Delaware also defeated FBS foe Navy the week before the Midshipmen took down Notre Dame.

i absolutely love Flacco... People talk shit on him, but he is a rookie, and in time he is going to BE A BEAST! So glad to see someone great come out of my homestate college... i was excited when i saw someone from UD get drafted, but even more excited when i started to think that he can really hold his own in the NFL!

I agree that size is not the be all end all factor, but being 6 inches taller reduces the chances of a ball being batted down, and increases your ability to see over the line and get a better overall view of the field... I see his skillset, know he's accurate, has a stronger arm, and being taller is just icing on the cake. Smith may turn out to be a good QB, but Flacco's ceiling is way higher.

Great poise in the pocket. He like seems to have a sixth sense of when the pocket is gonna collapse and somehow moves away while still deliviering a nice throw. Amazing quarterback.

His accuracy has only been a problem with the deep ball and that's because he was rarely asked to let it fly at UD. He just needs practice and experience.

If he falls into the second there is a good chance he goes to the Falcons(if they dont draft a QB in the first round),and the Ravens(If they dont draft a QB in the first round). One of those teams will draft Joe Flacco if he falls to the second. The Dolphins won't draft another QB.

i honestly feel that flacco is overrated. Troy Smith really should have gotten a chance. but since FLacco is a #1 draft pick that means he is gettin $ and that means the ravens want to get there $'s worth. Troy might start the 2008 season and be traded and then it will be Flacco's team

Flacco moves well, sometimes it looks like he has an weird arm angle à la Rivers but it's not even close to being that bad, lol. The big question mark on him is can he adjust to the speed of the next level and why couldn't he beat out Palko while at Pitt? Might be politics on the last one...wouldn't surprise me...

They Lost because Audubon High school football isn`t one of the greatest football program in South Jersey, But he is good, I went to Collingswood High we only had one good year of our own, but we got beat by Camden in Playoffs, alot of people thought the game was set up because reffs were calling a lot of bad plays.

When I saw Flacco play he looked inconsistent and missed a lot of open men. His receivers did drop a few passes but overall Flacco was very unimpressive.

King Of Akron Flacco is 10-5 in the playoffs, including a SB win and SB MVP. 3223 passing yds, 25 TDs, 10 INTs in the postseason. I'd say he does pretty well.

Because they had a quarterback they liked and he wasn't given an opportunity. Why didn't Tom Brady start over Brian Griese? Flacco transferred to Delaware for his sophomore year. It's not as if he rode the bench for five years at Pitt. Is there any doubt that he would have started there in 2007? But he didn't want to wait that long.

I think Troy Smith is a good QB, but don't think he has the size to be an elite QB. Flacco has all the tools and the attitude to be that guy... I'm sure we'll see a few weeks of Troy Smith at the beginning of the season to see what he can really do though. Flacco will be starting by week 5 or 6, though
