46 defense with 5 man secondary? Could run it with 5-2-4 Base alignment. McKinley can disrupt the middle. Some one will be free...Hilton could add blitze pressure.

I love LSU. Love them. I bleed purple and gold. Saying that I am glad we picked McKinnly Jackson over Jorden Jefferson. Jefferson was a 5th year player who played at West Virginia before coming to LSU. He was a good player but more of a just a general DT a 3 tech. Yea he played NT some but in all actuality Maason Smith was LSU’s nose tackle. I like Jackson better than Jefferson for a couple of reasons. 1. Jackson is yohnger. Jefferson will turn 23 a few weeks after the season starts. Jackson will still be 22 at the end of the season. This is his year 22 season. And Jackson is a true senior not a 5th year player. 2. Jackson is built more like a traditional NT. Jackson is 6’2’’ 330 and Jefferson is 6’3’’ 313 and he has 33 inch arms which is good but Jackson has 34 inch arms and has bigger hands than Jefferson too. And me I like NTs and 3 techs who are from 6’-6’2’’ because they can more easily get under the pads of centers and guards and drive them wherever they want to. McKinnly Jackson was a starting DT for Texas A&M. You have to be good to do that. Jefferson was t a starter. He was a rotational guy. Wingo and Smith were the starters. And the top 3 NTs in this draft were 1. Sweat 2. Jackson 3. Jefferson. Practicality everyone I saw their rankings were like this.

Yes I like Jackson a lot too. He usually played NT. No he is the perfect height. He can get under all these tall ass o linemen and drive them. I prefer my Days to be between 6-6’3’’. What about Michael Pierce he is 6’ 350. Yes he is a flat 6’ 350 lbs. the cool thing about Jackson is he has very good length. He will just get stronger and stronger once he gets I. The Bengals weight room.

Yea and the RT he is taking on from Bama is JC Latham. He is 340 pounds. LSU both their RT and LT will be 1st round picks next year. The LT Will Campbell is going to probably be a top 5 pick. Uh yea he is good. Freshman All American All SEC 2nd team his freshman year and 1st team this past year. He is 6’5’’ 325 and is technically as sound as I’ve ever seen from a tackle. He was a day 1 starter at LSU and he had never missed a game.

Yes I told yall Jackson was a freaking beast! I think Kris Jenkins is better but they have different skill sets. Year they are both DTs but Jenkins plays 3, 4, 5 tack. Mostly 3. But if we are rating just DT’s then yea Jenkins is better. He had the second highest run defense grade in the country after Sweat.

I know the pick was widely viewed as a reach, but DT was such a need, I had no problem w/Zac & Duke going after Jackson if they felt like he was THE guy they wanted to add to Jenkins. Now whether their way of assessing talent is on target or not remains to be seen. But coming off a year where our D was dead last in YPP, and facing the rushing attacks we do in the AFC North, I'll take it.

I think Dexter Lawrence’s athleticism is over stated. Why do I say that? Because he did not agility drill. No shuttle no 3 cone and he did no vertical and no broad jump. He ran the 40 and did the bench press. And I could only find 40 and 10 yard split times. No 20 yard split. I think he just did the absolute minimum for an RAS score. It’s absurdly high but most of the important info is missing. That’s why I think it’s very very overstated. People see that 9 something RAS. If Lawrence had done ALL the drills like Reader and Jackson did its would t be a 9. Readers RAS is 2.98. Jackson’s is 3.62.

Look at Jackson’s testing numbers and compare them to DJ Readers. Jackson is faster has more length Reader is better at the 20 yard shuttle Jackson better at the 3 cone Reader had a better vertical and Jackson blew him away on the Broad jump. Jackson had 24 reps on the bench Reader had 30. Dalvin Tbomlinson some of his number are better but he weighed 16 or 17 pounds less than Jackson.

Jackson is 6’2’’. He is 6’1 1/2’’. If it’s a half inch or more round up. If it’s less than a half inch round down. He is just as close to 6’2’’ than he is to 6’1’’. With cleets on this guy is 6’2’’. Just like Mims is 6’7 3/4 Inches. He is 6’8’’. Orlando Broen Jr is 6’7 7/8 inch. He is 6’8’’. And Trent Brown is 6’9’’. Why? Because he is closer to 6’9’’ than he is to 6’8’’. He is 6’9’’.
@NathanDean796 ай бұрын
Oh give me a break dude. Jackson tested better than DJ Reader! He is faster, more explosive,and has better agility and has arms that are 1 inch longer than Reader so he has better length. Did you think Reader was good at pass rushing? PFF certainly thought he did a good job of that with pass rush scores of 79.8 and 82.2 in the past 2 years.

Well/I think Jackson is made for the afc north/ he was the best nose left on the board/ I think when coach hobby get get finished with him he will be just fine/love the pick/made for the afc north

I would trade Kris Jenkins, Mckinnley Jackson, and Eric All for Byron Murphy. Think the Seahawks would have traded for a second, third, and fourth round pick?
@IMSmoov16 ай бұрын
That would be such a bad trade for us
@cheezy-rider6 ай бұрын
@@IMSmoov1 Really. I bet All wont even be on the team in 3 years because of injury or non production or both and Murphy would have better stats than Jenkins and Jackson combined.
@bengalselite95886 ай бұрын
Don’t underestimate Kris Jenkins . I liked Byron Murphy better too but he was gone there’s nothing we could of done but moved up to maybe 15 with the colts to move up 3 spots it wld of cost us pick 80 minimum costing us Burton . Bengals of been more aggressive n traded away next year picks but that’s not their style. Bengals should of been smart n lost the last game of the season against the Browns so we could of secured the 12 spot. But they were more worried about being over .500 which was dumb in my book but it’s whatever. We’re solid n have holes filled now . Hopefully McKinnley Jackson can add 10 lbs this offseason n get up to 335 of pure strength I think he will be an ok NT . Not Elite but worthy of making the roster n filling that hole for us.
