Few writers have made more incisive commentary, few singers have been more understandable, and few songwriters have accessed so many styles and tempos. Joe Jackson is wildly underrated and under-acknowledged.

I remember listening to JJ in 1980 - I was a kid .. even then I thought.. man this music seems so ahead of it’s time - it was like he knew something we all hadn’t learned or listened to yet. All the while, he was fluent and comfy giving us his timeless and inspiring gifts. Thank you Joe -it’s 2022 and I’m still unsure if the world has caught up yet.

No doubt, I wished Joe were still putting out songs, or if he is (and I hope he is), guess I haven't heard of any because I'm in Sou Central TX where the one channel covering classic rock and roll is in your head. Sad. 65 miles from Austin, 110 miles from Houston. Nothing comes out of Austin anymore, and Houston is too far. San Antonio has one good one, but also out of reach. I have to rely on you tube and my vinyl collection. Still going strong! Thanks Joe! Love your songs and your bass player! Geraldine and John is another great example.

The Romantics were one of the original boy bands put together by producers in Hollywood etc. Not a real band. Joe Jackson created everything you hear from scratch out of his own genius. Just like elton John and Billy Joel. Please don't compare joe Jackson to amateurs. Joe is the real deal.
