Man, the party scene in Midnight Cowboy was incredible. As amazing as the editing and cinematography was in that scene, this song just made it. Bizarre, haunting, and gorgeous song.

Exquisite! I was lucky enough to dance at the 100 Club in London UK in 70s when Stephane was playing there. Such a beautiful, kindly, presence, wearing a black beret, Parisian style, smiling and smiling at we young things in our 20s.

Well, my parents bought the Midnight Cowboy soundtrack and 10 year old me was totally weirded out by this song and how it went all over the place.......I just wasn't sophisticated enough to appreciate it, but I never forgot it or any of the other tunes on that record. A Famous Myth also stayed burned in my memory. Shame my parents got rid of the album. 😊

Is Bowen singing in Portuguese here? Who wrote the Portuguese lyrics? Gall recorded it in French and in Italian only, as far as I know.
Ora ci sono i commenti questa band nata da john lennon famoso il brano nella colonna sonora di midnight cowboy

THE KEYS - I DON'T WANNA CRY Was it really just our last good night when I saw the light and I know that you've been telling lies Oh, no, not me, I don't wanna cry You could talk about it all night long but the feeling's gone and I don't need you to tell me why Oh no, not me, I don't wanna cry 'Cos you know, I've got you figured out and you have got, nothing to shout about if this is love, I don't really wanna play I wanna know why you want to stay Was it really... I know all about your little plan find a fool and check up the thing you can well, it seems is never gonna be that way I wanna know what you want to stay Was it really... This cover reminds me of the talent show version of this song in the movie, when Guy first decides to count it in fast. It's a similar tempo and the garage rock sound of this version kinda matches the sloppiness of the first performance (and I mean that in a good way, that's my favorite version of the song in the movie and this is my favorite cover of it).

It's amazing. You hear two violins and instantly know which is Grappelli and which is Mehuhin. Two greats from completely different styles, having a conversation through their instruments.
