I had the honor to tune Joe's piano for his Berlin show of the same tour in November 1986, as well as for many other Joe Jackson concerts in Berlin, often including delivery of rental pianos, last time in 2010 (unfortenately today he is using digital pianos). It's a big pleasure to work for someone you are such a fan of!

Saw this tour at Poplar Creek Music Theater, Hoffman Estates/Chicagoland. Totally blew me away! Superb in every way: sound, talent, performances, selection, execution. A non stop barrage start to finish. Always throwing solid jam at you. I’d always know of Jackson, but after seeing this very tour, I was over the top and a fan ever since. Talented musicians, great song selection, and Joe, arguably, at his zenith.

Incredible that Joe went through all his musical transitions with the same band, right? Loved them since the 80s when I was in my 20s, lost track of them for almost 25 years or so and found a concert here on YT from 2015... and they are still together and kickin´A**!!! Great stuff! Thanx for uploading this gem. Big World and Body and Soul - I couldnt get enough from those 2 albums. Masterly composed, the lyrics still stand the test of time meaning wise and that musicianship!!!

Well... not quite. This was a completely different band. Rick Ford on bass, Tom Teeley on guitar, Gary Burke on drums. Vinny Zummo payed guitar on the Big World album and stated the tour. Tom finished the tour and played on a few more albums.

@@bsg2112 You're a "Number Two" for your dismissal of this song. With respect to a real relationship, would someone feel flattered by me if I were to refer to her as my "Number One"? I hope not. Let actions speak, not cajolery or jewellery. My point? To me, Jackson's song contains lyrics that are far more honest than most. (I've been the "Number Two" in many different contexts!)

Hardly anyone in the audience, yet Joe Jackson played and sang his heart out. I appreciate that. Reminds me of when Indiana State University scheduled ELP to play right before finals. Most people were in the room cramming for the finals, yet ELP played their hearts out for the few who attended. ETA, at the end he said "selling out the place." Sarcasm? Joke? JJ does have a sense of humor (or humour).
