Agreed. Hrmmm...I've tried to leave my own posted comment here but it keeps getting deleted aside from my comments under other posts? Weird.

Don’t understand why Walcott didn’t keep his hands up. Thanks for the upload. It was awesome.

It should have been Louis’ last fight. What the government did to Joe was shameful.
@BrotherPatriot3 ай бұрын
Absolutely. Once I learned Joe's story at age 50...wow, I knew I just gained my second "Hero", after Bruce Lee. I was floored by what he achieved in life. His incredible amateur career, his ability to help push against the racial barriers while serving in the military as a professional boxer, his single loss avenged with his rematch with Max Schmeling being the biggest sporting event in History, his 25 title defenses with 22 knockouts in roughly 12 years...a record that most likely will never be broken. I'm telling ya...the man was a real life Captain America and I'm damn proud of him. But...yes. He never would have come out of retirement to mess up his 58 to 1 record...if it weren't for what the Tax Man did to him. A truly black mark in American History for what was done to such a patriotic American who gave so much to his country. Doesn't matter...why? We the People know Joe's Story...and we STILL love him for all he did. With President Ronald Reagan allowing him to be buried in Arlington...finally, Joe rests and was given the laurels he should have enjoyed in life. Big Love, Brown Bomber...America will never forget you. HOO-YAH & God Bless Joe's wonderful Soul and Memory.

Jersey Joe developed Billy Conn deceased. Tried to punch and ko Joe. Great fight , great fighters. The Mafia loved Louis and helped him out greatly when the Government treated him so bad and with disrespect. Amazing!!!

I’ve always wondered why some of the millionaires of the day didn’t step up and bail him out.
@BrotherPatriot3 ай бұрын
@@davidbrandel4128 A few definitely helped him...but enough together could have erased the problem. A lot could have been done. Joe could have mentioned (or his handlers) to just take the taxes out of the donation first...or the government could have NOT pursued him in the first place. Simply acknowledging all that Joe already had done for his nation, etc. Yeah...the whole tax thing was/IS a massive black mark in History, regarding our countries History.

Joe Louis is the GOAT in the heavyweights. Sugar Ray Robinson is the GOAT in all boxing divisions. Gen Z fans who haven't seen 2 fights will probably say Tyson and Canelo.

Jersey Joe played with his food a little too much...got caught...then decided to exchange instead of going back to using the ring and it cost him the fight

Walcott was doing all that fancy footwork and stance flipping until the Bomber caught him with a left hook. When Walcott opened up it was over - you didn’t go toe to toe with prime Louis.

Ali would have peppered lewis with jabs, combinations would have made him look like a total amateur, Lewis was too slow and immobile.

Yah, seemed like he always liked to throw his punches from low and bait with the low hands and good. head movement. Worked great in the open but bad against the ropes, looks like. He used his head like Frazier and Duran to lean on the other guy and make room for big punches, but Luis was too good and sharp inside for that to work
@Thedude246 ай бұрын
Holding your hands down by his side and baiting with with open guard using head movement to evade most punches is also what Muhammad Ali did throughout his career, who’s to say Louis couldn’t have done the same to Ali as he did Walcott? 🤷♂️
