Pamiętam tę transmisję w telewizji. Kilka razy z rzędu Thundering Heard gościła już w Polsce. Ale gdy Woody Herman przyjechał ponownie w roku 1977, literalnie oszalałem. Miałem wtedy 16 lat i wiedziałem z całą pewnością, że jeden z najmłodszych wtedy muzyków big bandu, czyli Joe Lovano, stał się jednym z moich mistrzów, co zresztą trwa do dziś. Nie wierzycie? No to posłuchajcie!

Took a lesson with Frank Tiberi and from listening to the WH band and all the testosterone being thrown around I was expecting the devil and to be beat up for an hour...but he was the nicest person Ive ever met and had nothing but great energy. Cant say that for all the WH musicians but Frank was great.
