Rainbow and JLT performed in Singapore in 1989. He was a terrific singer. I'm glad he wasn't in Rainbow's most recent incarnation. Rainbow has long since lost its allure. Ritchie has played folk music in Blackmore's Night for far too long.

I'm not sad that Joe wasn't part of Rainbow for this last tour. Sad to say that Ritchie can't play these songs no more. But - Joe Lynn Turner - in his age, amazing in every way, feeling and he hits the notes like in the early days. Glad he is in his own, because he is way much better than Rainbow today. And this band also is awesome.

Honestly, I was a bit sad in the beginning that Joe didn't get asked to join reformed Rainbow. But listening to his solo performances these past few years completely knocks down whatever Mr. Blackmore is trying to do. What a voice, and it is in an impressive shape after all these years.

Thanks for sharing this. Good sound and video out of the equipment you are using given how far you are. As if I was in the audience watching it too! Much appreciated! As far as the performance, JLT is in top form. Saw him there in Sweden in late January and early February and it's such a blessing to be a fan of his. He always gives 1000% to the fans and is worth traveling from the States to see him perform.

First of all, Mr Blackmore can’t play with young musicians because he is an old man and he can’t play like 30 years ago, he doesn’t want to be overshadowed by other young musicians. Joe is great singer, nowadays he sings half step down pitch (like most singer do when getting old) Ronnie Romero is a young great singer, he does the job very well, most of the songs are from Dio´s era, yes, Dio was the original Rainbow singer, not Joe.

Back in 1989 I bought 4 tickets for me my buddy and our girls to see Yngwie Malmsteen with Joe Lynn Turner. Those asshats didn't show up. We walked out of a Dio concert pissed off because we expected to see Lord Malmsteen and Saint Turner. Demanded a refund, but cannot get a refund if headline act shows up.
