Good interviewer this girl. Bright questions, good rapport with the players, and seems to have good notion of the game.

Rugby players have mostly finished school and been through Uni (generally). Money isn’t enough to stop education and bank on the sport for a lifetime of cash. So they’re educated and able to string sentences together. Also - the players don’t come up from the chav estates across the UK, kicking a ball around “down the rec” or at the garages… So there’s that too in terms of chances of finding decent people with developed characters and personalities. Don’t see rugby players being recorded and charged with rape and assault of their GFs for example. Football is scum.

@@wesleymcglone6937 😁 sounds good. Or….folks could pull themselves up by living to better standards and having higher expectations of themselves. Football excuses and promotes dickheads and dickhead behaviour. When a “sportsmanship” moment happens like telling a ref that it’s a goal kick not a corner, the internet goes crazy and it’s virally hailed as a wonderful thing. Standard in hockey and rugby, and cricketers walk on knicks behind. Just football being the shitters.

@@DM-em4miYup, much prefer ‘normal’ interviews. Interviews by rote, prepped by the media team, turgid, repetitive one-liners, sound bites for the press. Interviews by talking heads with no soul, with no character from the players. Much more fun. These two know each other, much more interesting to see and hear them having fun than be served the same old crap that every sportsman and woman has to churn out. Just look at F1, you’d think most of them were robots. Thank god for sports stars who are happy to be themselves and offer something different. I just hope you were being ironic and that I missed it because it’s early and my coffee hasn’t kicked in yet?
