mr Rogan you speak as if majority of people in prison are there for Frivolous reasons. you also speak as iif there for one time offences. at the MOST there are 5% of the prison population is innocent but thats also from a group who with 100% claiming they are innocent. sure there are a SMALL portion of people in prisons for minor shit but the VAST majority are people who have consistently re offended. example is a person who claims to be in prison for a long sentence for just drugs. has 20 other convictions gets caught with a small amount of drugs while ROBBING someone but the plea was reduced to just the drug possession whilst dropping the robbery charge. this happensd ALOT in the prison system because 98 percent of ALL crimes are pleas that result in a reduction of certain offences for a quick conviction as to keeop the justice system less burdened that usual. sure there are plenty of issues to address about our justice system. but we as a society eed to quit acting as if the large portion of these CRIMINALS are innocent or a victim of circumstance. thats simply untrue. the vast majority of these people are criminals ho have mny many manty crimes under their names and thats many many many victims that these monsters commit onyto inniocent people. where is the sympoathy for those who have been victimized by these assholes. just because a bklack people porpotionally have more poeople in prison doesnt mean our society is racist it means that a disporpotion amount of black people are committing crimes and istead of blaming everything but the real issues causing this dispairity of more blacks in prison we are allowing for this to continue.

The alleged human being who unalived my grandparents on the side of a road in OR was let out before reaching the light end of his sentence by the dubious wisdom of the PR parole board. This despite never apolovizing and in fact blaming my grandparents for the crime he committed against them (if they had just dome what I told them to do...). He's now living in his sons gagrage less than 5 miles from my mothers house. He should have stayed in forever. There was never any question about his guilt. My neighbor’s son did 20years in prison. He got released mid 2023. Story he says was at a party and his buddies went outside and came back rushing saying they got to go and they had some girl in the passenger seat and someone blasted her mouth and cops came to the truck and neighbor’s story was he has no idea what was going on so he was in the bed of the truck where the cops found him and another person. He claims he had nothing to do with it but he’s out now and already has a stolen car under his belt and he lives with his parents and they got him a used good condition Honda and he ruined that. Not so sure about him

Jails MAKE MONEY TOO. I was a jailer/guard. Theres 3 tier's, County Inmate, State Inmate & Federal Inmate. Jails can house ALL 3 TIERS. Each tier pays different acceding. The jail can only house a certain % of State & Federal Inmates and they prefer Federal Inmates that are paper crimes ie money laundering, tax evasion etc... And now most jails use off premise companies for video visitation and e fund commissary meaning a separate private company charges you $5 automatically to put $50 on an inmates commissary funds, then turns around and charges the inmate $5 to buy a single can of Coke or $4 for 20 sheets of paper. The jail gets commission on all sales. Even a commission on video visitation and pay per minute phone calls and email communication.

My whole life was ruined in Pennsylvania. I received a DUI for THC in my blood even though I was 100% sober, had a state issued medical card and had not used my medication in a week. I used to be a technician for BMW and I lost all of that because some cop wanted to hit quota and get a bonus that month. It’s policing for profit!

Joe talks about private prisons being messed up because they make money off of having prisoners, but doesn't stop to think that's how it works with the government funded prisons as well.

Chivarella was the judge. I was in high school in the area where this was happening. A lot of kids got a lot of money back for being put away for the pettiest crimes.

i'm not sure how they can say it in a jokey sort of way. the other guy was a human being just like them. he had family. he was a real person who suffered an horrific end. there should be zero laughs. imagine it was one of joe's children and i was a podcast host and talked about the death of his kid in such a light hearted jokey way. joe would track me down.

Disconnected from what? Whenever anyone else behaves a certain way history is an acceptable explanation, only with us it’s “genetics”. The fact that black men in Africa have different tendencies would prove genetics to not be the answer. You’re probably one of those ppl who believes black ppl are “privileged” and white ppl are “under attack” I’m guessing, right?

I grew up in Wilkes barre. Did 6months in total for weed. Those judges are all. The. Same. I owe 13k$ to the state. Some the things theyre charging me for is sitting in a chair. Touching a pencil. Shit like that. And i dont know if it was on purpose or not but i asked for fiber capsules and they gave me antidepressants for old people. and a super vitamin. Threw up for weeks. Law firms wont do anything. Sick. Sick world... i feel as though now, the only job i am able to have here, is McDonald's. Or a tj maxx. Walmart.
