Nah tho. Perfect for espn AND Stephen smith. To act like they know what they’re talking about like always.. and pretend like they speakin the truth. To have Rogan put them in their place. This is sweet for Mma fans I feel. It’s like the new cool kid showin up to his new school. And the loud mouth “know it all” tries to spit some knowledge but gets owned by the new kid.

I disagree with Joe. Anybody who thought Cowboy was a legit fighter for a former double champ to come back and have a competitive fight with, obviously has not been paying attention to this sport at all. Riiiiight hes now 4-7 in his last 11 fights. GTFO here.

Nicholas Zsandor and what makes you such an authority? When's the last time YOU were in the Octagon? Unless you have been I'd STFU and keep my lack of respect for Cerrone to myself, especially considering all the relevant facts you conveniently did not include.

It’s more like if a team scored on the first play of the game and then the game ended. But then that goes back to Joe Rogans podcast where he talks more about this, and compares it to a football game. “Imagine if a football game lasted 40 seconds”
@kevinarzola4781

Taimoor Khan but Cowboy isn’t weak. He’s the most awarded (bonuses) fighter in the history of UFC. It’s more like a team beating an top 10 ranked team 40-0. What did you learn? That the winning team is a heck of a football program to shut out a ranked opponent 40-0
@kevinarzola4781
@kevinarzola4781 4 жыл бұрын
YaBoyTroy357 on his podcast he makes a real point about play vs combat. Football is a game. You play a game and win or lose you go home the same way you entered (excluding something of bad fortune). In combat, like mma, it’s two people attempting to kill one another. It’s the only sport where injuries are encouraged and murder becomes legal until the bell rings (or the referee ends it)

It's like a convo I had with a friend. He was saying Conor has never been this good and I was like...have you watched his other fights? He one-shot the greatest feather weight of all time, he has mad contenders look like journeymen and he hand inch-perfect distance against a lightweight champion, making them look slow and amateur, even when they were obviously world class. He's ALWAYS BEEN THIS GOOD. For MMA striking, he's an archetype people should be copying for style and training, because his spacing, set ups, creativity and timing are phenomenal. Only guy to actually humble him at his optimal weight is Khabib...and that guy is something else.

"If you're done in 15 seconds it's hard for me!" The fact that he's so surprised by this just tells me he really hasn't watched much MMA in general. Many many fights end quickly. Is Stephen aware Conor beat one of the best fighters of all time in 13 seconds in Jose Aldo? Is Stephen claiming Aldo quit too? Aldo didn't show up? It's quite clear he has a gross misunderstanding of what fighting actually entails.

He’s right about that imo. We didn’t learn anything....Conor has 1 fight that needs to happen and if he can’t defend the takedown or subs, it doesn’t matter who he knocked out in 40 seconds. Everything else he said was comical at best though

All the haters... it’s never enough. No matter who Connor beats, there’s always some excuse. “Well he only won because...” But yet he kept beating dudes. And the only fighters he’s lost against some of the best we’ve ever seen, Nate Diaz, Khabib etc....

Lol people don't wanna admit it, but Smith came in hard and lit Rogan up for the sake of controversy and did well with it. And he was absolutely right that cowboy was done at that point in his career. Cowboy has been on a complete losing streak and there really is nothing learned when someone comes in and smashes someone else who is on a long line of losses.

That because just like Stephen A Smith you're a casual who doesn't know what he's talking about. You think you could do better than Cerrone? Just Stephen A you don't understand the skill and the work needed to compete in the octagon even for 40 seconds.
