Joe is my favorite podcaster by far and I agree with most of his believes and ideas he expounds on his program but I can't help but feel that he either dislikes or is biased somewhat when it comes to this guest. Joe has an ideological or contempt when it comes to skeptics in general and this skeptic moreover. It seems skeptics don't jive with some of Joes more conspiratorial views, on some matters he hangs out on the edges of conspiracy stories where he doesn't completely agree with them but won't deny them also. Something about Michael irks Joe when Michael tries to point out a more reasonable explanation for a certain topic. Joe kind of losses his porker face when it comes to debating or discussing conspiracies with Mr. Shermer and I always look forward to them.

Hes irritated because there are things he knows for certain that this guy is refuting. Have you never had an argument with someone who you know is 100% wrong but won't listen to you, even though you know you are 100% right? I have. It's very frustrating.

@@javierbustos7670 I can't remember who said it, and i may be paraphrasing, but it goes something like this: the difference between smart people and stupid people is that stupid people are 100% confident in what they say but smart people question themselves. Edit: I just googled it and it was Bukowski and the quote was "The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are full of doubts, while the stupid ones are full of confidence"

If the bullet that hit Kennedy did not hit Connoly then where is the bullet that struck Connoly? I love Joe but he is wrong. They have fired this exact round into hardwood and it penetrayed the wood 42 inches and came out looking pristine. Once again the question is where is the other bullet? The path shows it would have impacted the interior of the car. So where is it?

Joe was far more patient with this man than I ever could muster. This guy just likes to be obstinate. He never makes any good faith arguments. Any time someone refutes him, he pulls the “I’ve never heard of that” comment. If it’s your “job” to be a public skeptic, teaching people how to be a skeptic, etc., would it not be part of the job, if you were doing it honestly, to familiarize yourself with as many of the arguments as possible? Most of the time he claims to never have heard of even the most basic bits of information out there on a given topic he is “debunking”. Such an irritating person.

Yeah cuz it's not like people make up wild stories! People are so logical and rational they never embellish or exaggerate. They never believe crazy stuff! They never make up ridiculous things! I mean human history so full of logical sound reasoning why would we be skeptical of the things most people believe ? I mean it's not like the majority of the world believes crazy fairy tales that are just absurd! I mean thank God people don't believe ridiculous fairy tales ! It's not like 70% of the planet believes there's a magic skydaddy It's not like more people in America believe in astrology than evolution It's not like more people in America believe in ghosts and goblins than the germ theory of disease It's not like for thousands of years people believe disease was caused by demons I mean since the dawn of human history people have been level-headed rational scientifically minded people so why be skeptical ? It's not like people thought that lightning was caused by a magic sky wizard Or earthquakes were the devil So being skeptical is just ridiculous because people have always thought clearly about the way the world works It's not like Joe is just spouting some horseshit that makes him feel good and that makes em feel like he is defeating the Boogeyman I mean the fact that there's literally mountains of evidence against Oswald and zero evidence against anyone else doesn't matter Because I'm sure the cuckoo conspiracy theory is correct and the fact that we know this guy fired the same rifle at a general a few months earlier, and we have all the bullets, and we have pictures of him with the gun and he said he was going to kill Kennedy, and we have eyewitnesses who saw him do it, none of that matters And the fact that we have zero evidence of anyone else, none of that matters It's the cuckoo conspiracy theory
