I worked at Tesla starting in July of 2017 as an Operations Analyst out of the Bethlehem, PA distribution center facility and left as a Program Manager based out of Austin, TX as of September 2021. I spent most of my time in the distribution and supply chain organizations.
Before Tesla, I was a Director of Business Intelligence and Pricing at the largest Pet Food & Supply distributor in the US, Phillips Pet Food & Supplies based out of Easton, PA. My wife and I also owned a small business in Bethlehem, PA between 2016 and 2019.
I have been a shareholder of Tesla since 2012 and currently own Tesla stock. Nothing I say constitutes as investment or financial advice.

Where it gets interesting is that the more you look into the man, and the more you peel the layers back, you see someone that wants to propel the human race forward. In terms of technology, lifestyle, and intellect. He only does what he thinks is best for humanity and is willing to change his mind if someone presents a better idea or better way to do things. The only part of this I disagree with is the quote “in our lifetime”. I would say he’s one of the most important people in many generations. We’re lucky to be alive at the same time as somebody who will go down in history and be remembered for a very, very long time. Time will tell but my condition is not greatly impacted by twitter. Our condition is and will continue to be impacted by environmental degradation. Starlink is a massively underrated play, too. As a mom of a grown Autistic man, I am in awe of Elon Musk. He “outted” himself on SNL years ago. He has Asperger’s (which is on the the Autism spectrum). Many people with Asperger’s are geniuses. I had a friend who had a son and when he grew up, MIT, Harvard, etc were after him ( full rides). President Trump would do well if he made Elon head of the Space Program, unless it meant a conflict of interest! I love Elon!

They have such great chemistry with each other and when Joe asks him a question Elon answers in the most humble sincere everyday people’s way possible! I’m 77 a grandma and very conservative. I also like Elon Musk. Why? Because he has a heart. He cares in amongst all of his idiosyncrasies. He is a good decent human being. God created him for a purpose as well as anybody else. Whether he knows it or not God’s hoping he too, will follow the plan. I think he’s on his way. I must admit he’s a little sci-fi, but his basic interests are important and good for Humanity. Every bit of Elon Musk, every molecule, every piece of DNA, was specifically given to him by the God of the universe. He’s in this world to make a difference and he’s doing that. The biggest thing overlooked by Joe here is that Elon is a - I dont even want to say tireless worker, he's in a league of his own. Yeah, obviously he's smart, and incredible manufacturing visionary, hands on CEO/owner/boss of every company, a dad of...a dozen kids(?). Anyway it goes on forever but that's not because he's full of ideas and has an inconsolable mind, that's only part of it. There's lots of brilliant people who wind up average. It's the unmatched amount of work and ability to manage his time. I'm honestly surprised he still does interviews and podcasts, and not just the biggest ones, because he's got a million things on his plate and a seemingly infinite line of issues waiting to have their turn. Trump is an incredible worker also. You dont have to like him but he made his own money, not by manipulating it or being part of old money, but buying and erecting buildings. He puts his name on them. This guy is 78 and does more in one day that I do in a week. Both guys dont sleep much, I think Trump said 4 hours, and I'd be surprised if Elen is ever getting more than 3 hours and most of the time he's probably just getting forced naps throughout the day. Slipping in and out of consciousness for 30 mins. This is actually a thing, I have had to work like that before. It can be done, but your body will make you go into sleep mode whether you want to or not. I've actually fallen asleep with my eyes fully open (driving ffs!) and it was fkn weird because they didnt come into play. It was just light switch consciousness is on, flip the switch its out. That one scared the shht out of me, I had cruise control on a highway going 70mph. Unscheduled wall of text rant, but whatever, these kind of thing are pretty much for me

I think a lot of it is the ability to hire really good people who talk straight with you and don't tailor the messages trying to tell you what they think you want to hear. If you stay on top of technological advances and get really good information then staying on top of a business becomes a lot more possible.

Elon is also a person that is able to change the way he thinks when presented with facts. In an interview a couple years ago with Everyday Astronaut, the interviewer asked him about something that could change performance of the new big rocket…. You see Elon think about it in real time and within seconds, he’s like, that could work…. The next test flight, that idea was put into action. He’s a genius but he’s also smart enough to know, others might have good ideas too.
