I went to a Rob Zombie concert in the late 1990's. All of the other acts were sub par at best. But when Rob Zombie took the stage, the entire place was transformed. Fire projections, fog machines, laser lights, wild dreadlocks thrashing in the strobe light, half naked exotic dancers with snakes, and the entire venue was roaring! One of the best shows I ever saw.

He is! I met him in the 90s at a record store in Massachusetts before he did a show at The Palladium in Worcester. He was so relaxed and personable. He asked me if I wanted to take a picture with him. (This was before we all had cameras on cell phones!) He was chatting away with me but I tried to make it quick bc there was a line behind me. I felt bad for the people waiting, while him and I were yapping away! 💀

@Chad ... I saw him with White Zombie at PG equestrian center back in the early 90's and had a blast. I mean it was a freaking horse farm. Awesome mosh pit...muddy ASF. I was about 20-21years old It was a great time. Everybody was having fun, weed was everywhere and the cops didn't fk with us. They let us be young disgruntled disenfranchised youths that were not happy with the Government and the labels society wanted us to wear. Most people don't know how shit used to be back then ! Gen X knew how to do shit right. We had a great time doing it ! Nobody got shot, people weren't getting arrested, groups of people weren't fighting (most of the time)....we just blew off steam and the cops let us do it because of that ! It feels like a lifetime ago.

Mike Milly it’s awesome!! I have a masters in film and this was really cool to watch. I actually got to meet Douglas Trumbull who was responsible for the visual effects in 2001 and close encounters of the third kind. It’s awesome how revolutionary the effects were at that time. I also agree with Zombie on Star Wars. Visual effects look great in something like the avengers, but when Lucas put new computer generated effects and mashed them in between the old puppetry and clay models, I think it looks really stupid. Up for debate of course, but I think most fans agree.

Even saw videos of him talking on stage about the release of the film at the time. Finally found a $1 theater showing it, called my buddy, and we drove an hour to see the film. Both of us loved it. And I just tried to give all his movies another chance again his fucking whole bullshit trilogy whatever the fuck he called it the only one that was semi-decent was Devil's Rejects but that's still a stretch to say. His Halloween remakes we're probably among the worst movies I've ever seen. I'd watch the Busta Rhymes Halloween 10 times in a row before watching his bullshit

When we went I was a huge White Zombie fan, so I was shocked Rob Zombie was there!!!! There were sets the size of bedrooms all over the stage room about the size of a school auditorium. Rob Zombie actually came and greeted me my mom and shook our hands. He then introduced his wife to me and I got to tell him I was a huge White Zombie fan. Eventually that day I met everyone in the videos between smoking cigarettes and me running to get them drinks. It was better than any concert experience I've ever had.

Agreed 100% i am guessing Joe or Rob had to get their ass in gear, (Rob's movie opening and the need to be present somewhere makes the most sense) because that was a great Podcast, the conversation was interesting, Joe was not ready to stick a fork in his eyes (ala Dan "WTF are you on right now dude" Akroid) and neither was i, and i am guessing that I am not alone in sharing Brian's positive feedback from this podcast. 3 hours at least without any boring bullshit at the very least. So ummm Joe "I never read the comments" Rogan, i hope you get the message and have Mr. Z back in. Lastly, i am guessing that your partners in crime here in podcast land, Diaz and maybe Ari, and Burr who does not have guests on except on the rare occasion when perhaps a hard rock musician might be someone that Burr would be stoked to have on. Coming back to this after a while ago Rob Zombie has some of the most insane stories. My wife's father is an undertaker and Rob is right, the people who scrape the sides of the road do see stuff. He once lived on top of a funeral home and the place was cursed to the knives. Not to mention all the cool stories involving criminals or even just picking up bodies in cars out in forests. Or his mate who worked on the cemetery grounds was attacked by a person with an axe. Gross stuff but it reminds me of Rob's stories..

Rob Zombie's "Halloween" haunted me after that movie. The best version of the Michael Myers horror story by far. When the kid freaks out in the hospital it is so intense. My heart was out of my chest and it was far more realistic psychologically than any other "Halloween" film made. Rob is really creative. That movie screwed with my head for a while. The child's insanity was shocking. He freaks out in the hospital and I lost it. In my head, I was rooting for Mike Myers to have some kindness and recovery with the therapist and he just explodes with anger and rage. It blew me off my seat.

I’m just getting into listening to you Joe Rogan interviewing these people. I must say I love your interest in people in general and how their minds work. I have always shared this interest too, and I’ve seen many people I loved from my childhood on your podcast, from Ron White, Miley Cyrus, Rob Zombie, to Ben Shapiro, and I love to see how normal they are and so many came from crappy childhoods that I can relate to. I appreciate you allowing us to see how normal and relatable these famous people are that no matter what you come from you can strive above it. Simply put we are all just human and you can find something relatable in everyone.
