Attorney and scholar Brian C. Muraresku is the author of The Immortality Key: The Secret History of the Religion with No Name. Featuring an introduction by Graham Hancock, The Immortality Key is a look into the psychedelic origins of the world's great spiritual practices and what those might mean for how we view ourselves and the world around us. So impressed with the scholarship of this young man, 30 years old, who has been working on this research/writing for 12 years...since he was 18! I'm 70, I feel wonderful that the generation following mine has dedicated intellectuals furthering knowledge and understanding of our past. FANTASTIC PODCAST!

So interesting! This is why I started listening to Joe Rogan in the first place. He is a great interviewer who invites guests on the show that provide fascinating information, and that no one else will give a platform to, as they don't fall in line with traditional mainstream beliefs. Sadly, this is the same reason a bunch of dummies working at Spotify think he should be censored, and the perfect example as to why so many others are afraid to have conversations that are outside of the mainstream view.

Brian's laughter is the purest thing I heard today. I'm so glad people like him exist in these uncertain times. Also heads up to PJ for letting her man pursue this research. The episode reminded me the old episodes of JRE which I know we all fell in love with. Also seeing the love in the comments again and interesting discussions again is so refreshing. Very refreshing as well that it's one of first JREs which aren't talking about cancel culture and Trump. Also the new studio with low lights is growing on me. Joe should notice it's episodes like this which makes us watch and admire his curiosity. Also lovely to see Joe since the last 2 or 3 months has started respecting and appreciating, and even complimenting Jamie. Very excited for the next time Brian would be on the show. He's a guy who deserves to be widely known. Thanks to Graham for introducing him to all of us!

The best podcast you could do would be to have on Ben Davidson from the KZbin channel Suspicious Observes. Ben is extremely smart and well educated and he is the Graham Hancock of climate change and Earths lost catastrophe cycles. Please reach out to him i know he would come on and talk!!! The world deserves to hear about this. He agrees with Grahams hypothesis for a disaster 12k years ago. Watch this to have your mind blown! kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJDdl4Cvr72knKs

We live off drugs produced in the brain, serotonin, dmt , melanin, dopamine ect ect. Standard case of societal programming, gov don't mind shilling out happy pills, opioids, benzos ect ect but don't take those drugs that make you ask questions. The war on drugs had nothing to do with safety or caring about people 🤣 its like anything that leads to biggrotry and demonising, ignorance, propaganda and a lack of exposure. People can jump out a plane but they can't take a mushroom created by nature.

"Hey have you ever smoked DMT?" "No man, but I have studied psychedelics for 12 years and written a book!" "....wow man that's crazy!" This was a great episode of Rogan, exactly the sort of high quality content I expect. Hancock is a gem and it's nice to have him and his slightly anarchic worldview contrasted with a guy whose interest is in a more scholarly fashion. But once he has his first psychedelic experience it will be fasciniating to see what his next book looks like.

A VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE to BRIAN's WIFE: what your husband is doing, has the ability to make this world a better place. For real. The power of spiritual plants is not some weird crazy unreal topic which only weirdoes are interested in so they can have some fun.... In fact it is the exact opposite. It is a forgoten wisdom unimaginable to people who have no clue about it. If all the people had these experiences, there would be less wars, less crime, less depression. The future of humankind would be SO MUCH better. And I am not saying that as some weird wannabe hippie stoned in the basement. I am a reasonable, inteligent entrepreneur, who enjoys living in modern times, using all the modern technologies. This is not a debate about dopamine-inducing cocain, or some synthetic party drugs. This is a very serious and important topic. I would be so happy, if I could, in 40 years, explain to my grandchildren, that I was there watching and listening, when people like Brian, Graham and Joe helped to bring the humanity to peace by sharing this wisdom. Because if more people will study the subject, take it seriously and objectively, the more and more people will understand how ridiculous the life full of hate and violence is, and how kindness and compassion can help us all, to enjoy our brief stay on this planet so much more.

Being one of those stoned hippies in the basement I would like to point out that at that time the media frenzy and the punishment for psychedelics was no joke (I got three years probation for possessing pot seeds). And there being little guidance about psychedelics we were making it up as we went along.... you felt as though you had to hideout somewhere away from public eyes to have the experience and maybe get a handle on what it was......there was no internet to go to for information.....those basements were the catacombs for the early Psychonauts that lead to what it is today.....Phase 3🙏

*THIS* is what the JRE has been missing for quite some time. Politics is okay for a while.. but I’m about to overdose on that topic. Erm... No. The Hiawatha crater is not dated. It is thought to be younger than ~3 million years with some indications that it is very young. The other craters are possible craters. Not confirmed yet. And the Younger Dryas impact hypothesis does not require a crater. The astronomy and the geochemical signals very clearly agree on fragmented comet impact(s) around 12.850 years ago.
