I remember a few years back watching a nature doc, a pack of wolfs chasing a bison but the bison was strong and the chase lasted a couple of days. Most of the pack give up as they got deeper into snow and exhaustion, leaving just 2 wolfs in the chase, they were starving and desperate and eventually one more give up leaving just one lone wolf chasing the exhausted bison. What ensued was the most desperate fight between wolf and bison at stake was life itself without a doubt. After a brutal fight the wolf clung his jaws on the throat of the much bigger, stronger animal and brought it down, killing it and surviving against incredible odds. I've never seen anything else like it

16:00 “I worry about mountain lions, not wolves.” 10 years ago here in Central Texas in a deep creek near our home a young girl was dragged by the head by a mountain lion. Her father found the attack just in time. The big cat ran off and the girl survived. I have caught armed poachers in the woods on my own ranch. I never saw the mountain lion and yet the story still remains in my conscience and inspires more fear then two drugged out poachers who trained their rifles on me before surrendering.

I have mountain lions on my property, seen them twice in person once 25yds away the other like 50-75yds away. I snuck up on one drinking water from a stock tank and the other during deer hunting season. A friend of mine hunted here last year and saw a mountain lion chasing a buck down in the woods. I've seen droppings and paw prints of young cubs with their mother.

19:20 the weird thing about witching is that I used to live on property and where we were all on wells that didn’t flow real good. My neighbor had a dude come out and witch it and found the spot for him to dig. He said, “here’s your spot. Dig here” and ended up digging an absolute gusher of a well that never runs dry. Where as ours and all the neighbors can each summer.

I only have two acres but a few sheep... I have 10 foot fencing, floodlights and AM talk radio going 24/7. An old farmer from eastern Washington told me the sound of human voices will keep the Mt. lions away. I did all of this after losing one sheep to a Lion and so far, it has worked.

Diane's story of the men that came to visit her is a good story to remind us that we should arm ourselves. Especially a young women going into the wood on her own. There are many two legged predators in the world. I tend to agree with Diane regarding the Russian/German effort to kill of so called 'super packs' of wolves. Not only does it not make sense from the perspective of the known nature of wolves, but also doesn't make sense from the human perspective. Why would Russian soldiers care what alleged wolves were doing to German soldiers that the Russians were trying to kill, and visa versa? I think it's just a romantic story. It always warms the heart when armies at war get together in peace which is what most people want to happen in the world. Lots of myths end up written down in history books.

It was so frustrating listening to Joe Rogan try to convince her when shes been studying wolves her whole life.

That’s two separate stories. One during WW1 and the other in 2010. Solders did ceasefire during one Christmas and I think there’s photo evidence of that at least but that had nothing to do with wolves. The solders coming together to kill 100 wolves is far more believable than 400 wolves coming together. The super packs is just Russian propaganda.

There is nothing "romantic" about the original story. It is about sheer desperation!

I caught a snap shot of a wolf with a motion censored night camera as a bio intern at a preserve in central WI. You have to be brilliant to pursue this career. I ended up a business grad and was scared of not getting grants to fund my research! This woman is very accomplished in her field!!! ❤
