That's how it is with Bow Hunters down in TN, when I got into it, I couldn't find a single person to work with me or give me good pointers. That's why I'm such a big fan of Dudley, Everything I've learned from archery is from his videos. If it wasn't for him, I'd still be waiting until rifle season to get out in the woods. If you want to get into archery and have no one to teach you or help you out, watch Dud's videos. I bought my bow in Jan 2017, shot my first archery Turkey that May, and then my first buck and first archery deer that following September. A year in, I'm building, fletching, and tuning my arrows, working on my own bow, and shooting 8"-10" groups at 90 yards. And I'm shooting a used, 10 year old, single cam bow. Dudley's videos will walk you through everything you need to know.

Absolutely loving all of these ignorant & unsubstantiated opinions from those who don't have the first clue or understanding in regards to the culture of archery, bowhunting & conservation. How ironic that it's always those who arrogantly self proclaim themselves to be the most 'tolerant' and 'accepting' members of society, yet who coincidentally also happen to speak the most anger & disdain towards any and all whom they personally disagree with. Doesn't matter if it's Cameron Hanes, Jim Shockey, Tim Burnett, Remi Warren, Steve Rinella, Cory Knowlton or John Dudley...all of these hunters that Joe has invited on the podcast receive an absolutely asinine amount of unwarranted & unsolicited hate, spewing from the keyboards of the self righteous who speak of what they do not know. Thanks for the great content Joe, and for attempting to bridge the gap & educate an audience who may not have otherwise been exposed and/or introduced to a different perspective & lifestyle other than their own.

Killing wolves is a bit moronic though, they keep the deer population down which allows the rest of the habitat thrive. In this they talk about killing wolves then talk about the problem with an over population of deer.

Pookie yeah no.... if you didn’t control the wolf population there would eventually be zero elk left. Then they would feed on something else. Wildlife biologist wouldn’t create tags for animals that didn’t absolutely HAVE TO be controlled. Now I’m not certain but I think they went to school for this. Maybe like a week long certification... you should call them and tell them about wolf hunting being moronic. Those idiots just don’t know.

@ 2:24:47 Part of the reason male bears (or many different predators) will eat cubs is also that they are wanting to eradicate other males' genes from the population. By killing off another male's cubs the sow will go into heat and then he can mate with the female to pass on his genes instead. This behavior is also seen in lions.

Not sure if Joe ever reads these - but the issue of wildlife biologists and hunting quota's is not quite as simple as he describes it. There are a number of different interests that must be considered - including financial and stakeholder (ranchers, hunters and hunting guides) interests pushing for higher quotas. It would be super interesting to get an expert on the show to discuss the processes involved in natural resource management.

As far as ADHD goes. I went through a similar process of multiple days with all sorts of test with scanning gear hooked up. Regardless of diet (sugar, any stimulents or preservatives) or outside input, I could not focus on anything for a substantial amount of time, not dependant on if I was interested or not. I have (had) a total lack of concentration. School sysyem was a nightmare for me. I was medicated for almost 2 years on Dex (which worked wonders) age 16 or so. I found once I could recognise my mind wondering I was more capable of reeling it in (still not particular good at it) though I believe I have more so morphed it into a abilt to effectively focus of multiple things at once and now I consider it a gift. I do see far to many people medicated (sedated) with the claim of ADD/ADHD and when I talk to them about it I feel it it just used as a excuse to be a dick or their kids crappy behavior.
