I haven't watched UFC for a while, so not sure about lighter fighters today, but I find it weird that people don't get into the smaller guys fighting. A lot of their fights are exciting and fast paced; Tyson Griffin vs Clay Guida was one of my favorites for this reason. Bigger guys often had some of the most boring fights I saw; just lumbering around waiting for an opportunity they should be making. Also, holy shit at Arlovski being back, wow.

Colton W Why is Cyborg not lobbying for a 145 LB class then? How about when she was offered a nearly identical contract to Ronda she declined because it was going to feature strict out of competition drug testing. Invicta does NOT issue out of competition drug tests. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that she didn't want drug testing because she is still using. Post fight drug tests don't pick up traces when you ended your cycle a month ago. Again, until Cristiane Justino does something to prove that she wants to fight in the UFC, she'll wallow in obscurity. She's terrified of OOC testing, she's declined multiple contracts with the UFC and their testing policy.

Adding, say, a 165 class and moving 170 to 175 does not water down the sport. The reason boxing is watered down is not because there are weight classes every 5 lbs or so, the reason is that there are multiple organizations, so you have 5 champions at 122. That's where it gets watered down. The UFC is a single organization so you're not going to multiple champions at the same weight.

Here's my personal opinion on EBI. First off I think its by far the best grappling league out there hands down. I've never ordered a grappling tournament in my life but after watching EBI 1,2 and 3 on youtube I ordered 4 and will order every upcoming one. I just think doing the overtimes to prevent stalling might end up backfiring. Fighters might start just choosing the back, lock on the triangle, not worry about the sub and just worry about time. My suggestion would be to keep it submission only but if it goes to descision have judges pick the winner just like UFC. Sure sometimes it would be controversial "like the UFC" but it gets people talking and builds hype for rematches. The other main thing that that would fix for me is with these sub only tourneys you see a lot of double guard pulling and people almost prefer to play guard when working for subs then working top game. That's fine but my only problem is takes away the value of sweeps and passes since a lot of guys want to be on bottom. If you had judges making a descision sweeps and passes would still count for something. Just my opinion but either way nothing even comes close to EBI.
