And I can never stop staring at his face and his mouth while he talks lol, that’s a ‘me’ thing I’m sure but even his facial expressions are so interesting to watch,, and to think that I’m witnessing a one-of-a-kind genius human-being cracking and laughing at his own jokes lol, talking ‘bout ‘make the rocket more pointy’ 🚀 😂 Every time,, so awesome to watch & listen to him and see a little snippet of how his mind works- much more interesting and enjoyable than any other billionaire genius ‘entrepreneur’, that’s for sure!! 👍🏼 👏🏻 Don’t think I’d even be able to speak if I ever got the opportunity to meet him in person!! Im going to chime in here as a canadian. The main issue with our carbon tax is that instead of the price being directly put onto the producers of carbon, it gets passed down to the consumer. And that's not just gas. Everything goes up in price so the companies don't pay the carbon tax. The consumer ends up paying it for them.

The only way that Mars colony will be anything other than an outpost is if Mars can export something of value to earth. I don't think Mars will ever be completely independent from earth. The effort is more valuable than the end product. Just like going to the moon had many spin off technologies and I think the Mars project will have the same effect.

I cannot come to terms with Elon’s position on rejecting the idea of building a thermonuclear reactor. He's saying that because he's invested a lot in solar panel production. So far, he's revolutionized many industries, including the space industry, where everything was moving sluggishly. Nuclear fusion is another topic that is also progressing slowly, and since the 1940s, the answer to the question of when we'll have controlled nuclear fusion has always been the same: in 30 years. After 30 years, it’s still another 30 years, and so on. I think the answer to all energy needs is nuclear fusion, and that's what big corporations should focus on. As soon as it becomes available on a mass scale, there will be a breakthrough. Scientists should already be using artificial intelligence (of course, not in the free ChatGPT edition) to find a way to harness fusion in practice, even random ideas count. Elon is still young. I believe he should seriously consider the topic of nuclear fusion, and he is the one who should take it on. With the efficiency he has shown in the electric car and space industries, it would take him 10 years. A fusion reactor would be incredibly useful for people on Mars. He would forever go down in human history as a true Prometheus.

Hey Joe, I am a huge fan and watching you guys talk about Solar Powered vehicles reminded me of some images I took about 7 years ago. It was a small car made entirely of solar panels with a tiny single person cab in the center, shaped like a fish dome. It was clearly a testing state prototype, as there were two vans following in front and behind it likely tracking data for the vehicle. I saw it in New Mexico out by Valle Vidal, and would be glad to send the images to you if you care to see.

Maybe someone here can help me. At some point in the conversation, Joe and Elon talk about the idea that ancient advanced technology would've been carved in stone or clay (like hieroglyphics). I'm a Potter, and had the idea to somehow record some of our technological knowledge into clay tablets. In case our civilization dives. I need help tho.
