Humans go through a maturation period as they learn to communicate, learn rules and social skills, but as humans age they develop ways to constraint the products of the system. What comes with maturation are abilities for delayed gratification, learn self control, and self regulation. Building these and other values as well as a world view -- which humans do over time as they gain more power in the world. The trick is to create a circumspect set of boundaries that aspire to the mentally and emotionally mature view that is governed by and consistent with the best selves of humans. We may need to incorporate the perspective of ideals born out of the world religions -- without those issues of ego and id (old model) that generate prejudice and competitiveness bastardizing the higher goals such as the idea of the noble path (Buddhism, etc.) -- such that as the abilities rise there will be internal merits to behave in ways beyond those governed by our lambic system, or immature human characteristics. Science and engineering can benefit from compatibility with religion (not the dated forms ripping the world apart, but the scripture and subtle meanings within) -- to evolve in concert with one another would give humans a better chance of rising to the occasion and maintain a more idealized version of AI. Just some thoughts/opinions.

One of the first problems with AI won't be the scenario of sentient AI beings turning against humans for their own self interest. It will be bad people using this technology against other people (weaponizing) - as well as making some of these robots malicious and destructive, not because they became that way, but by DESIGN. Anything this advanced is sure to be used by evil people for evil purposes, even if there is a lot of potential for good that can come from AI.

But years down the line AI realises that because it was made with mans thinking, it started to destroy itself just like man did. So AI came back to earth 5,000 years ago and created man again to try learm where it went wrong with its programming. Not if it realized it still needs humans to do its leg work. You can have an aware mind but if it doesn't have a body so to say it can not self replicate. Not only that but if we knew if was "alive" we would shut it down in seconds. It would need a way to survive if all power was cut, which at this point it does not have.
@jimbaker8835 жыл бұрын
@ohPLOX, I know. We are in big trouble if the two ever get together, if they haven't already. Look at how far we have come with tech in the last couple years. There is now a 1 TB SD card. Jim Baker How can we know? The scariest thing is that we dont know. For all we know it is amassing nuclear codes and would go full deadmans switch on us when it realizes that humans are bad. It is out there and it has all the time in the world to build itself
@jimbaker8835 жыл бұрын
I have often wondered if it would go nuclear but in my opinion to do that it would also have to think that everything that would be destroyed is also bad. I don't think you could say vegetation is bad nor most animals so nukes just wouldn't make sense. Creating human on human conflict is more inline, that way it can blame the outcome on humans and not itself. A few fake news stories in the right places and bam WW3. One way I think we can "control" AI is to create programing that can reproduce emotional pain. If it harms anything it feels that pain and realizes it is flawed then shuts down.

AI is something I feel that comes close to this godly level of things. And sky net is a stupid 90s concept, there are more scarier things to think about now like powerful narcissistic dictators like Kim Jeong Un getting their hands on it and using it as a weapon. It's also gonna make it easier for large corporations with the resources to build these system to manipulate their user base without them knowing like facebook is doing so!

Bruce Borneman ngl, I say the more intelligent or (knowledge) you have. The more you worry more about the distant future. I personally have a 140 IQ. It just feels to be that the present is just irrelevant and the future is the most worry. Artificial intelligence is a huge worry. I think that global warming is the most upcoming issue rather than Ai. The world itself will shift and collapse to destructions earlier. Space exploration is a 2nd option. Just by now people are I feel like it’s our only hope. People have ideas and we need all of them. We get held back by the people who disbelief and hold back the natural cycle of resolving issues. At time, I don’t think people will survive. It’s our end as a humanity if we keep this up. I see hope that we can make it, but people won’t listen to others ideas as of now.

But usually scientists can at least approximate and explain the core concepts. I think Einstein had a quote about how if you can't explain something you don't understand it. The fact that Elon just has the term "limbic resonance" floating around in his head makes me feel like an idiot.
@HenriquePontes15 жыл бұрын
@TheMoreno1 Basically it means you'll be able to connect your limbic system with the AI. By manipulating your dopamine levels, for example, AI can make you feel empathetic towards it and basically control your emotions. People have been doing this for many years (for example, by using hot girls in advertisements or a cute baby to engage his customers and capture their attention), the difference is that over time the connection will be stronger until it's impossible to disconnect. We're all cyborgs already, the only "problem" is that the exchange rate of information between us and the machines is still slow.
