I think we all must put ourselves in uncomfortable situations. Without the challenge a person can't grow. In the end comfort is the enemy. :)

wow, but its a bit much to be on all the time.

Alright I’m getting back to jiu jitsu. Was going on and off for a while because I got tired of seemingly improving at a very slow pace. I must embrace the suck and push through.

He’s been lucky because I’ve been to gyms that unfortunately has nothing but bullies. It put me off and I stopped going. They all had no structure and it was nothing but egotism and unhealthy competition. Shame.. I’d have been at a decent level by now.

My first gym was like that. I went for 4 months and then decided to stop going. Found a new gym, and been there almost 2 months. Difference is the new gym is amazing, vibe is great, and everyone is supportive of each other. I hope you find your gym my friend. 🙏🏼

Definitely try a new gym my man. The ones local to me are like yours - I travel a little bit to another instead, which has a really friendly and helpful atmosphere

@@mrimbord where do you train? I’m based in London now so the gyms might be different but in Kent in the south east of England.. it’s ego central

@@imheretocausetrouble2156 oh nice , I'm in London too! I'm training at Fightzone in Hackney at the moment. It's not super local but I like the vibe and their reputation is top tier

Turns out that this sweet talking, suit wearing director, is a Renzo Gracie Black Belt....which makes him harder than a coffin nail. (-read in Jason Statham voice for full effect).

When i encounter people like that on the mats i just dont feed that energy. If theyre going hard let them, theyll learn when they hurt themselves, just protect yourself
