@@hugo9547Here’s my thoughts on Rogan’s show and the guests he picks; It seems to me that he always try’s to get new interesting guests, but after 4000 episodes he has to just fill the spot. He went from an unknown podcaster to THE podcaster, he has to fill the episode, and so his choices sometimes aren’t the best. I do like some of his episodes with his friends though. His podcasts with Duncan Trussel, who besides his show doesn’t have much ground to be there besides being Joe’s good friend, are some of my favorites he’s ever made. I also really enjoy his old Joey Diaz episodes. There’s two sides to Joe’s show. Interesting and educated guests like Brian Cox or Jimmy Carr, and the other side which is his buddies and entertainment/fun people like Joey Diaz or Tom Segura.

Its like all of humanity is sealed in an air tight box and we the people are realizing that we will run out of air so we should look into altering our breathing patterns and finding a way out of the box. But some in power are hyperventilating about money when confronted, so while gulping down air they then guilting us for still being alive to breathe. They tell us to breathe less so they can breathe more. Why should I listen to them when they have no regard for anyone else in the sealed box? Cobalt has actually been a thing for the entirety of fuel refining since regulations were invented in the 1970s. It's a consumable catalytic reagent, used to take the sulfur out of the fuel and reduce particulate pollution on account of the deathly smog. What about plastics, polymers, fabrics, ink, paint, lubricants, glue, medicine, the roads we drive on just to name a few of the millions and millions of products and chemicals that are made directly from oil and gas. Nice to hear Jimmy Carr in a real conservation. He he made some valid points. But what most folks tend to forget is petroleum products are used for a lot more than cars. We also have to remember that we need scientists to work to find safe solutions, So we need to keep the lights on, electrify running, transport to and from the lab, heating and AC in the labs and at their homes right now!!!! So they can continue to do their jobs.

Aye. The biggest thing people are unaware of is that agricultural fertiliser comes from the petrochemical industry. Without that ... well ... a death toll from starvation in the billions is not an exaggeration.

He does not know how the power/money/food/pharma system works. Keep dreaming. Nuclear is good. Too good in fact other than the loss in power over distances.
@musicplaylists597 ай бұрын
He talks about these things a bit naively though. It doesn't matter that oil will stop being the primary fuel for vehicles at some point, it is now and that means if you make a fortune out of it you will be in the best spot to take advantage of whatever comes next to replace it. Also he didn't seem to know the difference between nuclear fusion and nuclear fission, the nuclear power plants we have now use fission, the article they pulled up about BP investing in nuclear power was fusion (completely different thing). Fusion is like the holy grail of power sources but we haven't developed the technology far enough to make a functional power plant yet. Fission is basically the same principle as a steam trains engine, you heat up water and the steam turns turbines, except instead of burning coal you use radioactive material, which in fission power plants is a very specific isotope of uranium, an incredibly rare substance. If we changed all of our power production to nuclear fission power plants they have calculated that we would run out of this isotope in quantities to be a viable power source within decades.

@@musicplaylists59 They've been telling us the same outright lies about oil and gas for the last 50 years. It's always just about to run out, and it never does. The supply of oil is near infinite, it's only a question of commerciality. How much will it cost to extract this oil, and how much can I sell it for? Technological innovation is constantly solving that problem. That's why fracking was invented - the cost of oil became so high that it drove a technological revolution.

The US military is the one promoting and guaranteeing slavery. How can he be so naïve to expect the exact opposite from the same people and forces, who are the beneficiaries of such policies, btw.
@nichobee7 ай бұрын
This is a very roundabout piece of logic. The US military promotes US foreign interests, it doesn't go out of its way to promote slavery. If you think it does, prove it. There are no solutions in the world, only trade offs. For all the faults of the US, I'd rather them policing the world than China or Russia.
