This is what I've been saying for years. If you took 15 year old me, gave me like $100 million and basically gave me my pick of any woman I'd ever want, I'd probably be making much worse decisions than Bieber ever did.

This is one thing I've been thinking about as well. It it nearly almost impossible to understand the level of fame Bieber has. It's fucking mind blowing, the level of fame he's at. While it has it's benefits(fucking obviously. Money, women, fame, etc), it, like all things, it has it's pitfalls. The insane amount of pressure, scrutiny, people telling you what to do, how to be, how to act, people recording and snooping on every single thing you do, wanting money, is insane. It definitely is not a normal life. It's like some Truman Show level shit that he will forever be at the center of, but unlike the Truman Show there is no real world awaiting him, that's just how his life is and always will be. He's done some stupid and dumb shit, but if I think back on some things I've done, it makes sense. Everyone has some super cringy, embarrassing shit they've done in their past that makes them feel embarrassed and flushed when they think about it. I just think we're lucky that it hasn't (for the most part) been filmed for the world to see. And I'm not fucking defending the guy or his actions cause he's done what he's done, but I'm just amazed that he hasn't had a fucking psychotic breakdown or some massive snap in his psyche that's caused him to go completely off the rails or suicide or overdose. It's actually kinda impressive. Considering his circumstances, I think he's handling it pretty well, especially compared to what it could be.

A similar thing happened to the band Angels & Airwaves (lead by Tom DeLonge, who I'm aware is not popular either due to or in part because of his recent appearance on the podcast to many listeners, but damn their music is fantastic), their most recent album was incredibly different to their other albums, and it took a while for people to accept it as a smart new direction, including me. I'd rather that than an artist that feels they are trapped in a certain style and appealing to only one demographic, especially if the quality is vastly inferior.
