I’m glad they addressed the Walker KO. You can see exactly what Khalil is talking about. Walker totally controlled the action, Khalil looks like a fish out of water and in the blink of an eye 💥 the elbow ends it. Apparently: lesson learned - better to learn it now than during a title match. This guy’s solid - he’s got new a fan here.

Honestly, I liked Khalil before, he was a beast. But this fight with Eryk, holy shit he turned it up multiple notches. Eryk was dumbfounded in that fight, he didn’t know what was happening.

I was extremely impressed with his Muay Thia. Quick and light on his feet. It was like watching a different fighter. And just to think hw only trained for 4 months is insane. Wish him the best.

The clinch use to be used a lot earlier in the UFC. Anderson destroyed Rich Franklin with that technique.

I just got back from northern Thailand training muay thai for 2 months. It's easily the strongest stand up martial art for mma and rountree is going to become an absolute fucking beast if he trains full time for 1 year mark my words...

Khalil being helpless in the clinch in that Johhny Walker fight is what made him want to bone up on his Muay Thai. That elbow Ko was brutal. Khalil seems like a smart guy though.

He was landing with different parts of his chin and ankle ( even foot) each time he kicked. His performance was extremely impressive and the kicks were sick( like Connors low kicks in the second diaz fight, powerful and effective but unrefined. Something recently added) now when Justin Gaethje kicks he lands with complete percision. Like a razor blade on a baseball bat. Same way a great puncher digs in with the tip of the knuckle. Im expecting KRJ to keep improving but not the best yet

@Justin Blevins I think he was in a Browns camp one year but I don't think he was ever on a final roster. He trains out of Central Alabama now. Every once in a while he will stop by out Gym in Huntsville and I see him at some local Jitsu comps once or twice a year (our sons are in the same division). Anders is a beast and I hope he finds what he needs to get where he wants to be.

It’d be interesting to see muay boran being used in the ufc, muay boran for those who don’t know is the old version of Muay Thai that the Thais used in actual war, and it is no longer allowed to be used in fights due to the amount of deaths

@@juanpena7436 muay boran is a decent bit different, i think it's better suited for mma but it has a couple techniques that aren't allowed. But stuff like smaller gloves and grappling make it better for mma, imo.
