Most of the recent champs have been strikers, especially in the heavier weight classes and in womens mma Yeah Nunez, moreno and volk are pretty well rounded but so are Leon and Hill and theyre still mostly strikers

He isn't becoming champ at 36 or 37, at Welterweight, one of the divisions that, according to UFC stats, only 2 fights out of 29 that someone 35 or over beat a prime guy for the belt. Colby is a very durable fighter; unfortunately, close to 36, being only 5'11" and a slow, plodding fighter with average stand-up, he isn't becoming champ, with the rise of much bigger, taller, stronger, and superior all arounders like Leon, Shavkat et al. "Division I wrestling" is an undergraduate college sport; it has NOTHING to do with professional MMA. Don't follow Henry Cejudo's advice and do another "easy money" betting ---- a THIRD CONSECUTIVE TIME ---- on another old, out of his prime, plodding elite wrestling "rag dolling" a prime 6'2" natural 190lb who is extremely agile. You will, like Henry Cejudo, lose a third "easy money" consecutive time. If you want to earn back what you've lost on the Leon-Usman II & III.... bet on Leon over Colby, even if you like Colby to win. If you have an average IQ, you should know there is a reason why at least 80% of all UFC champs are elite strikers, with NO D1 being champ in any of the 10 or so divisions the UFC has; and the UFC has close to 700 fighters in its rosters, with MANY D1 guys. (Islam and Jones are the only two elite wrestlers who are champs at the UFC; and both Jones and Islam have close to elite stand-up to complement their elite BJJ skills.) In all of Colby's time at the UFC, he defeated exactly ONE elite, prime guy and that's RDA, back in 2018, the #1 at 170, when Colby was #4. All the other opponents Colby beats, from the well known guys (Maia, Lawler, Jorge, Woodley et al) to the rest... they were either elderly guys with one foot out the door (long since retired) or they're just lowly ranked, less skilled guys. If D1 was as dominant/important a tool, in MMA, as you 4 year-old WWE fans think, Colby would have handily defeated a D2 in Usman twice in a row now, someone of his own generation, of around 35+/36 years of age. Again, STATISTICALLY speaking, he only has around 7% chances.... NOT the 70% to 100% --- "Colby would do whatever he wants to Leon" ---- you WWE experts are babbling.
