Im from Birmingham in an area next to Erdington/ Aston (where Leon grew up), he has his face spray painted on the wall of a popular street for everyone to see as he is a true hero to the community. I’m from Birmingham & Leon is laughing about having to call the armed police & people don’t fight with them because we have respect for them but the truth is THE ARU (armed response unit) are always driving around & take under 10 mins to get to any situation & there not overweight donut eating cops , there a highly trained unit with heckler and Koch’s & there very accurate & fast , it’s basically the special forces & there no joke

7:36 A few words on the UK fight scene (as a London born Londoner). I completely understand why Americans would think that the UK fighting and violent crime scene isn't comparable. Though this is a dangerous illusion. The unfortunate fact is, our criminals want to be like US street gangs more than the US street gangs. In this sense, our gangs are like the perceived underdog that feels a need to prove the world otherwise. Second to that, traditionally the British Isles (a bit like Russia) prides itself on its bare knuckle (real) fighting as opposed to relying on tools. People do use weapons, but they are like the lowest of the low. Those guys will rob of their own nan and do anything for 15 seconds of fame. Many of our gangs will pick on any guy if they're confident they can beat and rob them. They will usually use numbers, they're usually between the ages of 15 and 25 but can be outside of this scope. Many of them will stab a man just for the heck of it, for status gain within the in-group, something to talk about with their mates later. Many gang members do have guns, you can tell by reading the lines between crimes presented in the news but also, the shifty behaviours of certain people in certain areas at certain times. If there's a big group causing trouble, too big for police to deal with completely, you can bet someone will be carrying a gun for the fact they know the chances are slim that they will be picked out of the crowd.
