What I don't understand is all the haters saying that this subject has been done before, but better. They mention Jawanna Mann, White Chicks, and such. Those are movies of men secretly trying to pass themselves off as women, hiding the fact that they are male. This isn't that.

I didn't see Jawanna Man but I definitely know that in White Chicks, those guys knew they were men 😄 Same with the Big Momma's House trilogy and Mrs. Doubtfire.

They were trying to pass themselves off as women, whereas, in Lady Ballers, they were simply saying they were men, but only identify as women. The past movies were all putting on womanface, not being trans. I hope that's clear now

Everyone in that clip from the podcast, other than Joe, is objectively funny and they could all see how bad it is. Keep in mind none of these comedians could be considered "woke". It's pretty obvious and I'm not sure why they thought it was a good idea to use the clip.

Yeah Shane Gillis was an athlete, but that doesn’t mean much. He was an O lineman. Not a ton of transferable skills from O line to basketball. And Cone has 3 inches on him.

I saw it, it was heavy handed and while there were some funny moments it wasn’t written all that well. That being said it was the daily wire’s first comedy and I imagine they’ll get better as they go along These guys poke fun at both sides so they aren’t going to enjoy right wing comedy. It’s nothing personal.

To be fair….. I saw it the night it premiered and it was heavy handed that included about 2 laugh out loud moments. And it was essentially an F you to the other side rather than just a straight up comedy. Old Dads on Netflix with Bill Burr was better example of making fun of the dumb woke stuff than Lady Ballers was.

And that’s just judging the film as a film not for its “messaging” or whatever which is what most people judge it on one way or another. It reminded me of a direct to DVD American Pie movie really. Not that it wasn’t a valiant effort and Daily Wire had the stones to go for it, that’s commendable, but I’m sure if there are comedies in the future they will be much better. Also, Daily Wire subscriber since 2015 before there’s any judgement.

A thing I've saw is some variation of, "well it's not Tropic Thunder." Really? It's not funnier than one of the best comedies ever made? Peculiar standards I've saw this several times and enjoy thoroughly. The selling point isn't the joke, it's merely the framework for the characters of which the Crain crew and Tyler are the standouts for me. I honestly had very little exposure to you guys previous to this. Humor is very open to interpretation and I value others opinions very little. Dodgeball, Zoolander are not good, others disagree. Whatever. Your Highness, The Watch, MacGruber are prized gems, I'm sure others hate them. Whatever.

... objectively not a funny movie... trailers are supposed to draw in people... If Rogan inspired the movie... they should've paid him to read the script... because he is pretty funny conservatively speaking... and in no way would he like this work... the slap-stick wasn't chuckle worthy.... the grooming to the coach's daughter is thick, the coach learns nothing... and the camera work and continuity is just bad... the basketball was just terrible and violent, and was just, "man vs women sports... men win... as long as they cheat, are violent, don't care about the way the game is played... " Written by the Daily Wire... and it shows... there are funnier writers and they could've paid them to write this... they didn't... Babylon Bee could've written this, and it was just bad... Libs aren't triggered, because it was just that bad... Conservatives would LOVE it if libs were triggered... but the writers of a movie, can't call it the most triggering movie... others have to say it.

It was heavy handed. And that’s okay. It wasn’t the perfect comedy. These guys are the best comedians in the biz right now (well Shane and Mark at least) and they know comedy. And they aren’t politically correct at all 😂 I enjoyed lady ballers, since I lean right I enjoyed it way more than I would something shoving left wing crap down my throat but it was their first comedy ever and they’ll continue to evolve and grow as they create more. It’s okay to be honest with criticism.
