VeganMotorcyclePilot We don’t eat animals out the street raw because they carry horrible fucking diseases like rabies. There are plenty of animals you can eat raw but a lot of the time we have to cook meats. We’re cooked food eaters, which isn’t even a herbivore vs omnivore thing, we are the only species that cooks its food.
@youregay29474 жыл бұрын
VeganMotorcyclePilot we don’t eat roadkill because we’re predators, not scavengers. Do you eat half-rotten fruit that’s fallen on the ground? But if your question is “why don’t you eat raw meat”, the premise is wrong, because we do. We eat sushi, oysters on the half shell, steak tartare, etc. What we DON’T eat is raw grains like wheat. Grains require extensive processing and cooking in order to be edible, whereas meat does not necessarily. How can grains be our natural diet if they are indigestible without processing? Actual herbivores eat things like grass and leaves, but you do not, because you are not a real herbivore, you are just larping as one.

Watched this video 6 months ago, realized all the things Joe and Sean were saying about how you feel shit after eating bad food/drinking coke etc, constantly tired and lazy afterwards, which was true for me. Gradually removed all the bad shit out of my diet right after watching this video (quit all sodas, most sauces like ketchup/mayo, all sugar from coffees, bread etc) and have since lost 50lbs in 6 months, all because of this video convincing me to eat a healthy diet. Every now and then I might put some mayo on 1 meal like once a month, or drink a coke but not daily. Feel 10x better, not feeling like I need a nap after lunch, bigger self confidence, healthier overall, better mental health.

Well, even staunch believers in equality still acknowledge that some ideas are better than others. For example, non-smokers believe that abstention from cigarettes is a better decision than smoking. This is true even if they believe that all lives are of equal importance. Is it possible for someone to think that smoking is a bad idea without believing that he or she is "better" than people who choose to smoke? Is awareness of mistakes that others make an implicit claim of superiority over those who make the mistakes? Is it possible to acknowledge that some actions and habits are better than others without claiming superiority over those who have bad habits?

I tried the 2 week vegan challenge from "The Game Changers" and I was pleasantly surprised how better I felt. And I wasn't on a bad diet as well, I was eating good healthy meat. It's so strange because you immediately feel less bloated and I used to just poop 2-3 times a week and now I poop everyday. I feel lighter and better. In my opinion plant based food is just substantially better than meat. I still eat meat though but maybe only 10% of the diet (just on dates or special occasions). Give it a go and see how it goes for you.

i eat healthy, but i have days where i eat like shit.. i sleep good, i don't really lose energy. i've never understood what people mean by energy spikes and stuff. i always feel the same unless i've had like >5 hours sleep. sugar and caffeine doesn't really affect me, i can go without it, or drink 8 cups of coffee with a tonne of sugar (how i have it). and tend to feel just the same at the end of the day.
@cameronwelsh77826 жыл бұрын
Your genetics play a big part on how you feel with these foods and drinks. In the case of caffeine some people have variants in their genetics that causes no true effect on their energy. Where as some people's genetics could cause someone to have a quarter of a cup of coffee at 10am and they'll be up all night. Very interesting when you look into it. Everyone's different, but of course that those foods and drinks can't be good for you even if you don't feel the effect at the end of the day. But since they don't bother you so much and you're healthy, not obese, have healthy teeth, bones, heart etc then keep doing what you do and enjoy life.

I'm not vegan, but high LDL Cholesterol (a lot of meat consumption can up the LDL levels) causing plaque in the arteries can contribute to people not getting enough sugar or having too much sugar stuck in a particular area because sugar travels through the blood. That's what increases your chance for diabetes.

Insulin resistance isn’t caused by sugar, it’s caused by intramyocellular lipids and beta cell death ... aka saturated fat and obesity lol

The body produces it's own sugar, right. If the blood that carries the sugar can't get to the places needed because of clogged arteries, more insulin than needed is produced because a signal is sent to the brain saying that it needs more sugar. Isn't one of the ways of getting diabetes is that there's too much insulin being produced and it stops function properly?

Such a good point about how of COURSE you feel better when you become a vegan. You're finally eating good things after probably eating like crap for your entire adult life. It's obviously an improvement. I had a diseased gull bladder and didn't realize it. It was debilitating to the point of same days not being able to extend my body enough to get out of bed. I was able to handle it fora couple of years by changing my diet until eventually I was a vegan. The experience, at the time, made me swear by it not for moral reasons, just for the benefits. Then the pains came back so I went to the doctor and realized it was the gall bladder. It was one of those quack Maximized Living chiropractors that said it was my diet. I'm not dumb enough to seek advice from them these days, but I was only about 25 and thought they were real doctors back then lol. Anyway, so as soon as that was removed and I added healthy meats back to my diet I found that I felt EVEN better than I did as a vegan. Like, not even close. I was stronger, lifting more, running longer, etc. The key was just not eating shitty foods. If you're a vegan for moral or health reasons, good for you, but stop with the cult level treatment of it. You're like a christian during the crusade era trying to rule people with judgment and half-baked pseudo-science. Chill. lol. Do you and shut about it. Besides, NO ONE is a vegan forever, so keep the ridiculousness to a minimum so you don't have everyone who knows you teeing off on you when you come back to reality lol.
