Fortunate to see Joe on the surfing tour in a tiny venue in downtown st pete. He’s right about mick.

Mr. Satriani is not only a great player, but also seems to be a gentleman and someone who truly appreciates the chances he has had in life. I am pretty sure he does not have money issues, but no matter that, he seems very level-headed about his career and his success/talent has not gotten into his head. A great interview.

A humble and gracious man, Joe points to other artists as his inspiration, but is himself a great master. What a gentleman.

Satch is surely one of the best players of all time - apart from being the main reason I started playing guitar. Can't believe no one's commented on this video yet.

It's interesting, what he says about Mick Jagger and it's been consistent over the years, Mick's a consummate professional and that's why he's such a big star.

Great thoughts. In the words of Bruce Lee, "Trying to define happiness is like trying to turn on the light to get a better look at the dark. The moment you do, it's gone."

i remember back in the day Mick saying Satch was the only one that turned up with a wah pedal and he knew he was the one. Might be a half joke by Mick but that's what was said. Saw Joe Satch around 1990 4 rows from the stage dead centre i was lucky, originally i was next to a huge stack of speakers in the corner. I was harassing the ushers to let me move they were ready to throw me out, the gig started i said "move me if someone comes". no one did. really amazing performance! Me and mate also past him walking in a quiet street that day. Friend said "wasnt that Joe satch?" i thought for a second and went "yeah it was" he looked lost & 'even these fellas dont know who i am' i wish i spoke to him then

Joe is NOT...because NO ONE is the best. Joe can't play like Tommy Emmanuel, or Jack Pearson, Allan Holdsworth. George Benson Wes Montgomery...list goes on and on...look these guys up and see what I am talking about!!!) It's very naive to use personal opinion to select the BEST anything. that being said...he is an INCREDIBLE rock guitarist.

I love a lot of rock singers, Rodgers, Plant,Daltrey,Dewer,McCafferty etc etc, but it has to be said that Mick Jagger is the best front man the U.K. ever produced bar none.
