The venerable Peterson oom Paul sitter. Cool you found it with a fishtail! Yeah I agree with the other commenter give it a good quarter twist going in the mortise and it should seat the stem better. Don’t be afraid to be a tad forceful. I honestly abused my army and spigot mounts for years before I knew better…they are quite the resilient pipes!😊

As others have said the Peterson Spigot is pretty tough. Engine#99 is one of my all time favorites! I’m a GED instructor now and still see the attention span issues and gamer mentality- just let me test again, I don’t need to study, I’ll get it this time. It’s not getting better.

Thank you and thanks for the advice! It’s pretty crazy these days. My son is in high school and I’m amazed at how many opportunities he’s given to make up missing assignments and retake tests. I don’t think it’s doing anyone any favors.

If by humbling, you mean that queasy feeling you get when you realize what just happened… I totally agree about working in the old attention span. My phone is both a blessing and a curse!

when you go to put the stem into the pipe, give it like a quarter or half turn. That’ll seat it in there a little bit more. Accordingly, when you go to remove the stem from the pipe, give it a quarter or half turn to get it out. if you do this, it’ll never come out unintentionally. this works for all army mount style pipes.

I watched one of your videos on KZbin where you were showing a new pipe which had a burnout. My comment is that you were showing the pipe but part of the bowl was hiding behind your logo. Very frustrating. I couldn't admire the pipe. Do you really need your logo up for the entire video? 😕
