anyone that thinks he's a loser needs to get their fucking head checked man. why is he a loser, cause he did drugs and drank? I'm sorry to break the news to all the ultra conservative people out there that don't like people that do drugs but, your favorite musician does drugs and their favorite musician did drugs as well.

A friend of mine worked at a small restaurant (I won't say where). Joe Walsh came in. He ended up talking with the kitchen staff, spent time signing any autographs anybody wanted, and played a few tunes for them on the lounge piano they had there. HE DIDN'T HAVE TO DO ANY OF THAT. That's an example of what kind of a down-to-Earth person he really is. I would have wanted to just eat and be left alone for a bit. Keep that in mind when you hear comments about him being "fucked up".

All of you look better today than ever. Clapton, Walsh, Jagger, Page. Many more I'm sure but these 4 have such a wow factor now. Healthy, clean, sober, high energy and all geniuses in their own right. We want you with us for yrs to come. (Sorry had to leave K Richards out. He looks every bit his age, looks and sounds terrible. A wonderful variation of the "E" tuning is exactly the same as this, except tune the 5th string down a 1/2 step to "G#" instead of "B" it is subtly different, but still very close. Great for slide playing of standard finger chording. Joe uses his slide on the middle finger. Many others use the ring finger or pinky. But there is no one who plays better rock slide guitar than Joe &~!

Yeah, it's easy to see that he was an addict right around then, but man oh man he really cleaned up and stayed clean! Good for him. I think that's former MTV veejay Adam Curry. If so, he's a podcast pioneer and a millionaire many times over, unless he lost it all. You can hear Walsh on an interview with Howard Stern (2012?) on KZbin promoting his album Analog Man. He says he doesn't have much money; he blew through most of it. He's probably worth a few million, but not tens of millions.
@loraljohnson10 жыл бұрын
Rico Reyes No, this guy's name is Tom Kolb. You can find him on KZbin.
Rico Reyes He does look a bit like him, and I hadn't watched this video for YEARS. Found it on a sidebar here on KZbin. Saw your comment, and wondered if it was him, but wasn't sure. I had to find my video and see who it said was on the video. Supposedly Tom Kolb does his own instructional videos. I know this was a dark period in Joe's life and he is apparently inebriated in the video, but Kolb still shouldn't have had an elitist attitude witht the star of the video. Which is also why I didn't think it was Adam Curry. I think Curry would have handled the "interview" process more professionally.

He has said many times that, "If you act like you know what you're doing, everyone thinks you know what you're doing." I know, he knows how to play guitar. but at this moment, i believe he didn't know what he was talking about at the time. He was drunk and high. so, all I'm saying is i wouldn't follow this advice. now that he is sober, I'd follow his advice any day of the week.
