Winter trip is usually at the end of February but tomorrow I will be snowshoeing into the Tent and do an overnight stay to check everything out. They have had a lot of snow up there. Funny Zach mentions the snowblower for the atv, cuz I was gonna mention that when everyone suggested a plow truck. You can easily pick up a snowblower attachment for a riding lawn mower and fabricate a mount for the atv and throw a Predator motor on it.All for easily under $1k. Plus be a good winter project/video series for Zach making it. Plenty of KZbin videos showing people making them.

Nice fish guys. I actually went fishing down here in Arlington , Tx. when the temps were about 28 degrees. I was fishing the rocks and I was the only one on the lake that day. I turned around and there was a camera man taking pictures of me fishing. Well, as it turns out I was on the Sports page of the Ft.Worth Star Telegram. The headline read " He caught a Cold this Big!" When my dad and I started ice fishing, many many years ago, we met an old timer who told us for things like perch, stay in 4 to 6 ft of water. Seems like he was right. Grubs on a tiny gig, or use the eye ball of the ones you’ve already caught. We’ve caught northerns in shallow water too, which makes sense, since they’re in cruising for perch. I’d like to see you guys out on Superior. We fished lake Champlain. A big lake, but not compared to Superior.

You are allowed 2 holes (fishing poles in the water) each. We had one each in the shelter and then put tip-ups on two other holes that were outside of the shelter. The holes have to be within 200 feet of whoever is fishing the holes. Better chance at catching fish when you spread your coverage area.
