The final weekend of Deer Season at The Tent. It was just Zachary and I up there this time. Cold weather and Wolves. Closing the Tent down for winter.

You could sure use tires with Microbit technology; what they mean is that they put walnut shells into the softer rubber. I call them 'walnut tires. The Toyo "Observe" brand of tires have walnut bits, as well as Nitto makes a walnut tire. I highly recommend them for winter driving; you don't have to stop and put on chains and take them off.

I admire your energy for just the lifestyle preparation alone and when you add in the KZbin production i imagine it is even much harder work. Just setting up the shots is double the effort of doing the tasks. Set the camera, walk out the door, come back in shut off the camera set it up on the deck, get in the truck, drive off, drive back get the camera, edit out all the coming back... is that how it goes???
@JoeandZachSurvival5 жыл бұрын

That’s a damned big wolf pack. Any incidents of them attacking people like in Alaska? Is there a season on wolfs in Minnesota ? It’s a clear deer repellent when you have Wolfes or coyotes in the area. Thanks for sharing your hunting experience. Nice piece of woods. The way I like it. Not another human being in sight.
@stevewagg23785 жыл бұрын
Are you not allowed by law to shoot wolves or coyotes in your hunting area? In Ontario, Canada we balance predator prey ratios.
@JoeandZachSurvival5 жыл бұрын
Coyotes yes but I have never saw one up there. Wolves are protected, get caught it is a 10,000 dollar fine and you lose your hunting privileges for 3 years.

Hi Joe great videos. I just bought a similar wood stove to yours. The problem I'm having is the down draft and the smoke starts to fill up the cabin. Joe, do you ever come back up to hunt with a muzzleloader, or is it just too cold and snowy? Also, do you ever duck hunt after opening weekend? I'm curious but also selfish so I can watch more of your videos...thanks for sharing!
@JoeandZachSurvival5 жыл бұрын
Before I had kids and the kids got older and life very busy I would duck hunt almost every weekend. When muzzleloader starts you can no longer drive into the Tent and the ice is not thick enough yet to walk the lake. I do have a muzzleloader but have not hunted with it in many years.

Joe, I stumbled upon this video series last week and have to tell you I love it. My husband worked for the U.S. Forest Service and his first job when he came home from Vietnam was in Cook, Mn. Both of his kids (my stepdaughters) were born in Virginia (Iron Rangers!). He eventually moved to Vermont (Green Mountains) and served his last 35 years there. He saved calendars from the 70's that were made in Cloquet by a match company based there. They feature Canadian Mounties painted by a well known artist, and he has many of them. If you would like them, drop me a line and I will send them to you. I would love to see them on your tent walls. He loved Mn and his time there. He is no longer with us, but my love and memory of him lives on. Peace.
